1Quando ele fez o mandamento, que diz ele?

1When he made the commandment, what does he say?

2Quem é o que disputa comigo? Apresente-se diante de mim.

2Who is he that disputes with me? Let him stand before me.

3Ou quem é o que me julga? Aproxime-se do servo do Senhor.

3Or who is he that judges me? Let him draw near to the servant of the Lord.

4Ai de vós, porque todos envelhecereis como uma roupa e a traça vos consumirá.

4Woe to you, for you will all grow old like a garment and the moth will consume you.

5E novamente o profeta diz: Ele foi posto como uma pedra forte para esmagar.

5And again the prophet says: He was set as a strong stone for crushing.

6Eis que porei nos fundamentos de Sião uma pedra de grande valor, escolhida, angular, preciosa.

6Behold, I will lay in the foundations of Zion a stone of great value, chosen, a corner-stone, precious.

7Que significa isto? Aprendei!

7What does this mean? Learn!

8Ele pôs sua esperança não em homem, mas em sua carne.

8He set his hope not on man, but on his flesh.
