Epístola de Barnabé 19

1Este é o caminho da luz: Se alguém deseja viajar para o lugar designado.

1This is the way of light: If anyone desires to travel to the appointed place.

2Que seja zeloso em suas obras.

2Let him be zealous in his works.

3O conhecimento então que nos foi dado para andarmos neste caminho é o seguinte.

3The knowledge then that is given to us for walking in this way is as follows.

4Amarás aquele que te fez, temerás aquele que te formou, glorificarás aquele que te redimiu da morte.

4You shall love him who made you, you shall fear him who formed you, you shall glorify him who redeemed you from death.

5Serás simples de coração e rico no espírito.

5You shall be simple in heart and rich in spirit.

6Não te unirás aos que andam no caminho da morte.

6You shall not join yourself with those who walk in the way of death.

7Odiarás tudo o que não é agradável a Deus.

7You shall hate everything that is not pleasing to God.

8Odiarás toda hipocrisia. Não abandonarás os mandamentos do Senhor.

8You shall hate all hypocrisy. You shall not forsake the commandments of the Lord.
