Epístola de Barnabé 18

1Tanto quanto me foi possível, e com simplicidade, dar-vos estas explicações.

1As much as it was possible for me, and with simplicity, to give you these explanations.

2Espero não ter omitido nada do que pertence à salvação.

2I hope that I have omitted nothing of what pertains to salvation.

3Porque se vos escrevo a respeito de coisas presentes ou futuras, não entendereis.

3For if I write to you concerning present or future things, you will not understand.

4Porque estão colocadas em parábolas. Isso é suficiente.

4Because they are placed in parables. This is sufficient.

5Mas agora passemos a outro conhecimento e ensino.

5But now let us pass on to another knowledge and teaching.

6Há dois caminhos de ensino e autoridade, o da luz e o das trevas.

6There are two ways of teaching and authority, that of light and that of darkness.

7E há grande diferença entre estes dois caminhos.

7And there is a great difference between these two ways.

8Porque sobre um estão estacionados anjos de Deus portadores de luz, mas sobre o outro, anjos de Satanás.

8For over one are stationed light-bearing angels of God, but over the other, angels of Satan.
