Epístola de Barnabé 1

1Saudações, filhos e filhas, em nome do Senhor que nos amou, em paz.

1Greetings, sons and daughters, in the name of the Lord who loved us, in peace.

2Grandes e ricos são os decretos de Deus a vosso respeito, eu me regozijo além da medida por vossas almas benditas e gloriosas.

2Great and rich are the decrees of God concerning you, I rejoice beyond measure over your blessed and glorious souls.

3Tão profundamente está enraizada em vós a graça do dom espiritual que recebestes!

3So deeply is rooted in you the grace of the spiritual gift you have received!

4Por isso me alegro ainda mais em mim mesmo, esperando ser salvo.

4Therefore I rejoice even more within myself, hoping to be saved.

5Porque vejo verdadeiramente em vós o Espírito derramado sobre vós da rica fonte do Senhor.

5Because I truly see in you the Spirit poured out upon you from the rich fountain of the Lord.

6Assim, a vossa tão desejada visão me encheu de espanto.

6Thus, your so-desired sight of you filled me with amazement.

7Persuadido disso, e consciente de que, ao falar entre vós, entendo muitas coisas.

7Persuaded of this, and conscious that, in speaking among you, I understand many things.

8Porque o Senhor viajou comigo no caminho da justiça.

8Because the Lord traveled with me in the way of righteousness.
