Epístola dos Apóstolos 33

1E perguntamos-lhe outra vez: Quando nos encontraremos com esse homem, e quando partirás para teu Pai e nosso Deus e Senhor? Ele respondeu e nos disse: Aquele homem virá da terra da Cilícia para Damasco da Síria, a fim de desarraigar a igreja que deveis fundar ali. Sou eu que falo por meio de vós; e ele virá depressa, e se tornará forte na fé, para que se cumpra a palavra do profeta, que diz: Eis que da Síria começarei a congregar uma nova Jerusalém, e Sião sujeitarei a mim, e será tomada, e o lugar que não tem filhos será chamado filho e filha de meu Pai, e minha noiva. Porque assim aprouve àquele que me enviou. Mas farei aquele homem voltar atrás, para que não cumpra o seu mau desígnio, e o louvor de meu Pai será aperfeiçoado nele; e depois que eu tiver ido para casa e habitar com meu Pai, falar-lhe-ei desde o céu, e todas as coisas se cumprirão, as quais de antemão vos disse a respeito dele.

1And we asked him again: When shall we meet with that man, and when wilt thou depart unto thy Father and our God and Lord? He answered and said unto us: That man will come out of the land of Cilicia unto Damascus of Syria, to root up the church which ye must found there. It is I that speak through you; and he shall come quickly: and he shall become strong in the faith, that the word of the prophet may be fulfilled, which saith: Behold, out of Syria will I begin to call together a new Jerusalem, and Sion will I subdue unto me, and it shall be taken, and the place which is childless shall be called the son and daughter of my Father, and my bride. For so hath it pleased him that sent me. But that man will I turn back, that he accomplish not his evil desire, and the praise of my Father shall be perfected in him, and after that I am gone home and abide with my Father, I will speak unto him from heaven, and all things shall be accomplished which I have told you before concerning him.
