Epístola dos Apóstolos 21

1Porque em verdade vos digo: Assim como meu Pai me ressuscitou dentre os mortos, assim também vós ressuscitareis na carne e sereis arrebatados ao mais alto céu, para o lugar de que vos falei desde o princípio, para o lugar que aquele que me enviou vos preparou. E assim cumprirei toda a graça, eu mesmo que não sou gerado e contudo sou gerado da humanidade, que existo sem carne e contudo vesti a carne e cresci à vossa semelhança, que fostes gerados na carne; pois para este fim vim, para que ressusciteis dentre os mortos na vossa carne, no segundo nascimento, vestidura que não se corrompe, juntamente com todos os que esperam e creem naquele que me enviou; porque esta é a vontade de meu Pai: que eu dê a vós, e àqueles a quem me aprouver, a esperança do reino.

1For verily I say unto you: Like as my Father hath raised me from the dead, so shall ye also rise (in the flesh, Eth.) and be taken up into the highest heaven, unto the place whereof I have told you from the beginning, unto the place which he who sent me hath prepared for you. And so will I accomplish all dispensations (all grace, Eth.), even I who am unbegotten and yet begotten of mankind, who am without flesh and yet have borne flesh and have grown up like unto you that were born in flesh, Eth.: for to that end am I come, that ye might rise from the dead in your flesh, in the second birth, even a vesture that shall not decay, together with all them that hope and believe in him that sent me: for so is the will of my Father, that I should give unto you, and unto them whom it pleaseth me, the hope of the kingdom.

2Então lhe dissemos: Grande é aquilo que nos permites esperar e que nos dizes. E ele respondeu e disse: Credes que tudo o que vos digo há de acontecer? Respondemos e dissemos: Sim, Senhor. Disse-nos ele: Em verdade vos digo que recebi todo o poder de meu Pai, para que reconduza à luz os que habitam em trevas, os que estão na corrupção para a incorrupção, os que estão na morte para a vida, e para que solte os que estão em grilhões. Porque o que é impossível aos homens é possível ao Pai. Eu sou a esperança dos desesperados, o amparo dos que não têm salvador, a riqueza dos pobres, a saúde dos enfermos e a ressurreição dos mortos.

2Then said we unto him: Great is that which thou sufferest us to hope, and tellest us. And he answered and said: Believe ye that everything that I tell you shall come to pass ? We answered and said: Yea, Lord. He said unto us: Verily I say unto you, that I have obtained the whole power of my Father, that I may bring back into light them that dwell in darkness, them that are in corruption into incorruption, them that are in death into life, and that I may loose them that are in fetters. For that which is impossible with men, is possible with the Father. I am the hope of them that despair, the helper of them that have no saviour, the wealth of the poor, thc health of the sick, and the resurrection of the dead.
