Efésios 1

1Paulo, apóstolo de Jesus Cristo, pela vontade de Deus, aos santos que estão em Éfeso, e fiéis em Cristo Jesus:

1Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

2A vós graça, e paz da parte de Deus nosso Pai e do Senhor Jesus Cristo!

2Grace {be} to you, and peace, from God our Father, and {from} the Lord Jesus Christ.

3Bendito o Deus e Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, o qual nos abençoou com todas as bênçãos espirituais nos lugares celestiais em Cristo;

3Blessed {be} the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly {places} in Christ: {places: or, things}

4Como também nos elegeu nele antes da fundação do mundo, para que fôssemos santos e irrepreensíveis diante dele em amor;

4According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5E nos predestinou para filhos de adoção por Jesus Cristo, para si mesmo, segundo o beneplácito de sua vontade,

5Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

6Para louvor da glória de sua graça, pela qual nos fez agradáveis a si no Amado,

6To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

7Em quem temos a redenção pelo seu sangue, a remissão das ofensas, segundo as riquezas da sua graça,

7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

8Que ele fez abundar para conosco em toda a sabedoria e prudência;

8Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

9Descobrindo-nos o mistério da sua vontade, segundo o seu beneplácito, que propusera em si mesmo,

9Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

10De tornar a congregar em Cristo todas as coisas, na dispensação da plenitude dos tempos, tanto as que estão nos céus como as que estão na terra;

10That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; {even} in him: {heaven: Gr. the heavens}

11Nele, digo, em quem também fomos feitos herança, havendo sido predestinados, conforme o propósito daquele que faz todas as coisas, segundo o conselho da sua vontade;

11In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

12Com o fim de sermos para louvor da sua glória, nós os que primeiro esperamos em Cristo;

12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. {trusted: or, hoped}

13Em quem também vós estais, depois que ouvistes a palavra da verdade, o evangelho da vossa salvação; e, tendo nele também crido, fostes selados com o Espírito Santo da promessa;

13In whom ye also {trusted}, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

14O qual é o penhor da nossa herança, para redenção da possessão adquirida, para louvor da sua glória.

14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

15Por isso, ouvindo eu também a fé que entre vós há no Senhor Jesus, e o vosso amor para com todos os santos,

15Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

16Não cesso de dar graças a Deus por vós, lembrando-me de vós nas minhas orações:

16Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

17Para que o Deus de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, o Pai da glória, vos dê em seu conhecimento o espírito de sabedoria e de revelação;

17That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: {in...: or, for the acknowledgement}

18Tendo iluminados os olhos do vosso entendimento, para que saibais qual seja a esperança da sua vocação, e quais as riquezas da glória da sua herança nos santos;

18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

19E qual a sobreexcelente grandeza do seu poder sobre nós, os que cremos, segundo a operação da força do seu poder,

19And what {is} the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, {his mighty power: Gr. the might of his power}

20Que manifestou em Cristo, ressuscitando-o dentre os mortos, e pondo-o à sua direita nos céus,

20Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set {him} at his own right hand in the heavenly {places},

21Acima de todo o principado, e poder, e potestade, e domínio, e de todo o nome que se nomeia, não só neste século, mas também no vindouro;

21Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

22E sujeitou todas as coisas a seus pés, e sobre todas as coisas o constituiu como cabeça da igreja,

22And hath put all {things} under his feet, and gave him {to be} the head over all {things} to the church,

23Que é o seu corpo, a plenitude daquele que cumpre tudo em todos.

23Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
