2Eu, Gade, o sétimo filho de Jacó, nasci de Zilpa, serva de Léia.

4Quando um leão ou lobo ou qualquer besta vinha contra o rebanho, eu o perseguia.

4When a lion or wolf or any beast came against the flock, I pursued it.

5E alcançando, pegava sua pata e a arremessava a uma pedra de uma funda e o matava.

5And catching it, I seized its paw and hurled it against a stone with a sling and killed it.

6Ora, José apascentava conosco os rebanhos por cerca de trinta dias.

6Now Joseph fed the flocks with us for about thirty days.

7E sendo ainda jovem, adoeceu por causa do calor.

7And being still young, he became ill because of the heat.

8E voltou para Hebrom, para nosso pai, que o amava porque era filho de sua velhice.

8And he returned to Hebron, to our father, who loved him because he was the son of his old age.

9José contou ao nosso pai que os filhos de Zilpa e Bilha matavam os melhores animais do rebanho.

9Joseph told our father that the sons of Zilpah and Bilhah were killing the best animals of the flock.

10Eu odiei José por causa disso, até o dia em que o vendemos.

10I hated Joseph because of this, until the day we sold him.
