1TESTAMENT OF NAPHTALI - Copy of the testament of Naphtali, which he commanded in his last words.

2Quando meu pai Jacó retornou de Padã-Arã, eu e meus irmãos tínhamos cerca de dezesseis anos.

2When my father Jacob returned from Paddan-Aram, I and my brothers were about sixteen years old.

3Eu era ligeiro nos pés como uma corça, e meu pai Jacó me designou para fazer todos os recados.

3I was swift of foot like a deer, and my father Jacob appointed me to run all errands.

5Minha mãe era Bila, filha de Roteu, irmão de Débora, a ama de Rebeca.

5My mother was Bilhah, daughter of Rotheus, brother of Deborah, the nurse of Rebekah.

6Bila nasceu no mesmo dia que Raquel, e por isso Labão a deu como serva a Raquel.

6Bilhah was born on the same day as Rachel, and therefore Laban gave her as a servant to Rachel.

7Bilha serviu Raquel e deu à luz a mim e a meu irmão Dã.

7Bilhah served Rachel and gave birth to me and my brother Dan.

8Por isso chamou meu nome Naftali, dizendo: Com lutas de Deus lutei com minha irmã.

8Therefore she called my name Naphtali, saying: With wrestlings of God I have wrestled with my sister.

9Agora, filhos meus, vos ordeno que temais ao Senhor vosso Deus.

9Now, my sons, I command you to fear the Lord your God.

10E guardareis seus mandamentos em todos os vossos dias.

10And you shall keep his commandments all your days.
