1TESTAMENT OF BENJAMIN - Copy of the words of Benjamin, which he commanded to his sons.

2Benjamim, filho de Jacó, nascido de Raquel, falou a seus filhos.

2Benjamin, son of Jacob, born of Rachel, spoke to his sons.

3Eu tinha cento e vinte e cinco anos quando morri, e fui para junto de meus pais.

3I was one hundred and twenty-five years old when I died, and I went to be with my fathers.

4Vedes, filhos meus, que segui uma cópia de um bom homem, José.

4You see, my sons, that I followed a copy of a good man, Joseph.

5Tende também vós uma boa mente, e não tereis qualquer maldade.

5Have you also a good mind, and you will have no wickedness.

6O homem bom não tem olho escuro, pois mostra misericórdia a todos, ainda que sejam pecadores.

6The good man has no dark eye, for he shows mercy to all, even if they are sinners.

7E embora alguns planejem mal contra ele, fazendo o bem ele vence o mal.

7And even though some plot evil against him, by doing good he overcomes evil.

8Pois está sob a proteção do Altíssimo.

8For he is under the protection of the Most High.

9Se alguém glorifica o invejoso ou o caluniador, está sob o julgamento do Senhor.

9If anyone glorifies the envious or the slanderer, he is under the judgment of the Lord.

10Aquele que tem uma mente pura em amor não olha para uma mulher com desejo.

10He who has a pure mind in love does not look at a woman with desire.

11Assim guardai os mandamentos de Deus, até que o Senhor revele sua salvação a todas as nações.

11Thus keep the commandments of God, until the Lord reveals his salvation to all nations.
