1Os edificadores do muro que andam após a lei — a lei que fala, da qual Ele disse: Certamente falarão — são apanhados em fornicação ao tomarem duas esposas durante a sua vida.

1The builders of the wall who walk after law—the law it is which talks, of which He said: Assuredly they shall talk—are caught by fornication in taking two wives during their lifetime.

2Porém o princípio fundamental da criação é: 'Macho e fêmea os criou.'

2But the fundamental principle of the creation is: 'Male and Female created He them.'

3E os que entraram na arca: 'De dois em dois entraram na arca.'

3And they who went into the Ark: 'Two and two went into the Ark.'

4E quanto ao príncipe está escrito: 'Não multiplicará para si mulheres.'

4And as to the prince it is written: 'He shall not multiply wives unto himself.'

5Porém Davi não leu no Livro da Lei que estava selado, o qual estava na arca; porque não foi aberto em Israel desde o dia da morte de Eleazar e de Josué, e dos anciãos que serviram a Astarote.

5But David read not in the Book of the Law that was sealed, which was in the Ark; for it was not opened in Israel from the day of the death of Eleazar and Joshua, and the Elders who served Ashtaroth.

6E esteve oculto e não foi descoberto até que se levantou Zadoque.

6And it was hidden and was not discovered until Zadok arose.

7Ora, eles glorificaram as ações de Davi, salvo apenas o sangue de Urias, e Deus as entregou a ele.

7Now they glorified the deeds of David save only the blood of Uriah, and God abandoned them to him.

8E eles também contaminam o Santuário, visto que não se separam segundo a Lei,

8And they also pollute the Sanctuary since they separate not according to the Law,

9e deitam-se com aquela que vê o sangue do seu fluxo.

9and lie with her who sees the blood of her issue.

10E tomam por esposa cada um a filha do seu irmão ou a filha da sua irmã.

10And they take to wife each his brother's daughter or his sister's daughter.

11Mas Moisés disse: 'Não te chegarás à irmã da tua mãe: ela é parenta chegada de tua mãe'. Assim a lei das relações para os homens está escrita, e a mesma lei vigora para as mulheres; e não descubra a filha do irmão a nudez do irmão do seu pai: ele é parente chegado.

11But Moses said: 'Thou shalt not approach thy mother's sister: she is thy mother's near kin'. So the law of intercourse for males is written, and the same law holds for females; and let not the daughter of the brother uncover the nakedness of the brother of her father: he is near of kin.

12Eles também contaminaram o seu espírito santo e com língua de blasfêmias abriram a boca

12They also polluted their holy spirit and with a tongue of blasphemies they opened the mouth

13contra os estatutos da aliança de Deus, dizendo: Não estão estabelecidos. Mas proferem abominações a respeito deles.

13against the statutes of the covenant of God, saying: They are not established. But abominations they speak regarding them.

14Todos eles são acendedores de fogo e atiçadores de tições acesos:

14They are all kindlers of fire and setters aflame of firebrands:

15Teias de aranha são as suas teceduras e ovos de basilisco são os seus ovos;

15The webs of spiders are their weavings and the eggs of cockatrices are their eggs:

16quem deles se aproximar não será inocente; quem os escolhe será tido por culpado, a menos que tenha sido forçado.

16He who comes near them shall not be innocent: He that chooseth them shall be held guilty unless he was forced.

17Outrora Deus visitou as suas obras, e a Sua ira se acendeu por causa das suas maquinações.

17Aforetime God visited their works, and His wrath was kindled because of their devices.

18Porque é um povo sem entendimento: São uma nação desprovida de conselho, porque não há entendimento neles.

18For it is a people of no understanding: They are a nation void of counsel, because there is no understanding in them.

19Pois outrora se levantaram Moisés e Arão por meio do príncipe das Luzes; mas Belial suscitou Joanés e seu irmão com o seu desígnio maligno, quando aquele libertou Israel.

19For aforetime arose Moses and Aaron through the prince of the Lights. But Belial raised Jochanneh and his brother with his evil device when the former delivered Israel.
