1E quanto à exata declaração dos seus períodos para trazer à memória de Israel todas estas coisas, eis que está tratada com precisão no Livro das Divisões dos Tempos segundo os seus Jubileus e as suas Semanas.

1And as for the exact statement of their periods to put Israel in remembrance in regard to all these, behold, it is treated accurately in the Book of the Divisions of the Seasons according to their Jubilees and their Weeks.

2E no dia em que o homem impuser sobre si mesmo retornar à lei de Moisés, o anjo Mastema se apartará dele, se ele cumprir a sua palavra.

2And on the day on which the man imposes it upon himself to return to the law of Moses the angel of Mastema will depart from him if he make good his word.

3Por isso Abraão foi circuncidado no dia em que veio a saber disso.

3Therefore Abraham was circumcised on the day of his knowing it.

4Quanto ao que foi dito: 'O que saiu dos teus lábios guardarás' para o cumprir —

4As to what he said, 'That which is gone forth from thy lips thou shalt keep' to make it good—

5Nenhum juramento vinculativo que o homem impuser sobre si mesmo com o propósito de cumprir um mandamento da lei poderá ele anular, mesmo sob risco de morte.

5No binding oath, which a man imposes upon himself with a view to perform a commandment of the law, shall he cancel even at the risk of death.

6Coisa alguma que o homem impuser sobre si com o propósito de violar a lei cumprirá ele, mesmo sob risco de morte.

6Nothing which a man imposes upon himself with a view to frustrate the law shall he make good even at the risk of death.

7Quanto ao juramento da mulher, cujo juramento Moisés disse que deveria ser anulado, nenhum homem anulará um juramento que ninguém conheceu.

7As for the oath of the woman, whose oath Moses said should be disallowed, no man shall disallow an oath which no man knew.

8Deve ser confirmado. E se for para anular ou transgredir a aliança, ele o anulará e não o confirmará.

8It is to be confirmed. And whether it be to disallow or to transgress the covenant, he shall disallow it and not confirm it.

9E assim é também a lei para o seu pai. Quanto à lei das ofertas, nenhum homem votará coisa alguma para o altar sob compulsão.

9And so is also the law for her father. As to the law of the offerings no man shall vow anything for the altar under compulsion.

10Nem os sacerdotes tomarão coisa alguma dos israelitas…

10Nor shall the priests take anything from the Israelites…

11Nem consagrará o homem o alimento… isto é o que Ele disse: 'Caçam cada um a seu irmão com uma rede.'

11Nor shall a man dedicate the food… this is what he said, 'They hunt every man his brother with a net.'

12Nem consagrará de toda a sua possessão coisa santa… será punido aquele que fizer um voto perante o juiz…

12Nor shall devote of all his possession holy… shall be punished he who takes a vow to the judge…
