1E esta é a ordem referente aos juízes da congregação.

1And this is the order in reference to the judges of the congregation.

2Eles consistirão em dez homens escolhidos da congregação segundo o tempo determinado: quatro da tribo de Levi e de Arão, e seis de Israel, instruídos no Livro de Hagu e nas Ordenanças da Aliança, desde a idade de vinte e cinco anos até os sessenta anos.

2They shall amount to ten men selected from the congregation according to the time defined; four of the tribe of Levi and Aaron, and six of Israel learned in the Book of the Hagu and in the Ordinances of the Covenant, from five and twenty years old even unto sixty years old.

3Porém nenhum será nomeado juiz da congregação quando tiver sessenta anos ou mais.

3But none shall be appointed when he is sixty years old and upward to judge the congregation.

4Pois, por causa das transgressões do homem, os seus dias foram abreviados; e, quando a ira de Deus se acendeu contra os habitantes da terra, Ele ordenou que a sua inteligência se apartasse deles antes que completassem os seus dias.

4For through the trespasses of man his days were minished, and when the wrath of God was kindled against the inhabitants of the earth, He commanded their intelligence to depart from them before they completed their days.
