Didaquê 7

1Quanto ao batismo, batizai assim: Havendo primeiro recitado todas estas coisas, batizai em nome do Pai, e do Filho, e do Espírito Santo, em água corrente.

1Concerning baptism, baptize thus: Having first recited all these things, baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, in running water.

2Mas se não tens água corrente, batiza em outra água; e se não puderes em água fria, faze em água morna.

2But if you have no running water, baptize in other water; and if you cannot in cold, do it in warm.

3E se não tiveres nenhuma, derrama água três vezes sobre a cabeça, em nome do Pai, e do Filho, e do Espírito Santo.

3And if you have neither, pour water three times on the head, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

4Mas antes do batismo, jejuem o batizador e o batizando, e quaisquer outros que puderem; ordena ao batizando que jejue um ou dois dias antes.

4But before the baptism, let the baptizer and the one being baptized fast, and any others who can; and instruct the one being baptized to fast one or two days before.
