Didaquê 16

1Vigiai por vossa vida. Não deixeis apagar vossas lâmpadas, nem que vossos lombos se desatem; mas estai preparados, pois não sabeis a hora em que nosso Senhor virá.

1Watch over your life. Do not let your lamps go out, nor let your loins be unbound; but be ready, for you do not know the hour in which our Lord will come.

2Mas reuni-vos frequentemente, buscando as coisas que convêm às vossas almas; pois de nada vos aproveitará todo o tempo de vossa fé, se não fordes perfeitos no último tempo.

2But assemble frequently, seeking the things that are fitting for your souls; for all the time of your faith will not profit you, if you are not perfected in the last time.

3Pois nos últimos dias multiplicar-se-ão os falsos profetas e corruptores, e as ovelhas se transformarão em lobos, e o amor se transformará em ódio.

3For in the last days false prophets and corrupters shall multiply, and the sheep shall be turned into wolves, and love shall be turned into hatred.

4Pois quando a iniquidade aumentar, odiar-se-ão e perseguir-se-ão e trair-se-ão mutuamente.

4For when lawlessness increases, they shall hate and persecute and betray one another.

5E então aparecerá o enganador do mundo como Filho de Deus, e fará sinais e prodígios, e a terra será entregue em suas mãos, e cometerá iniquidades que jamais se viram desde o princípio.

5And then the world-deceiver shall appear as Son of God, and shall do signs and wonders, and the earth shall be delivered into his hands, and he shall commit iniquities which have never been seen since the beginning.

6Então a criação dos homens entrará no fogo da provação, e muitos tropeçarão e perecerão; mas os que perseverarem em sua fé serão salvos debaixo da própria maldição.

6Then the creation of men shall enter into the fire of trial, and many shall stumble and perish; but those who endure in their faith shall be saved under the very curse.

7E então aparecerão os sinais da verdade: primeiro, o sinal da extensão no céu; depois, o sinal do som da trombeta; e terceiro, a ressurreição dos mortos.

7And then shall appear the signs of truth: first, the sign of expansion in heaven; then, the sign of the sound of the trumpet; and third, the resurrection of the dead.

8Mas não de todos, mas conforme está dito: 'O Senhor virá, e todos os Seus santos com Ele.'

8But not of all, but as it was said: 'The Lord shall come, and all His saints with Him.'

9Então o mundo verá o Senhor vindo sobre as nuvens do céu.

9Then the world shall see the Lord coming upon the clouds of heaven.
