Didaquê 12

1Recebei a todo aquele que vem em nome do Senhor, e depois testai-o e conhecei-o; pois tereis discernimento à direita e à esquerda.

1Receive everyone who comes in the name of the Lord, and then test him and know him; for you shall have discernment to the right and to the left.

2Se o que vem é viajante, ajudai-o quanto puderdes; mas ele não permanecerá convosco mais de dois ou três dias, se houver necessidade.

2If the one who comes is a traveler, help him as much as you can; but he shall not remain with you more than two or three days, if there is need.

3Se ele quiser ficar convosco, sendo artesão, que trabalhe e coma.

3If he wishes to stay with you, being a craftsman, let him work and eat.

4Mas se ele não tem ofício, providenciai segundo vosso entendimento, para que, como cristão, não viva entre vós ocioso.

4But if he has no trade, provide according to your understanding, that, as a Christian, he may not live among you idle.

5Se ele não quiser assim fazer, é um negociante de Cristo. Acautelai-vos dos tais.

5If he will not do so, he is a Christ-peddler. Beware of such.
