Deuteronômio 27

1E deram ordem, Moisés e os anciãos, ao povo de Israel, dizendo: Guardai todos estes mandamentos que hoje vos ordeno;

1And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.

2Será, pois, que, no dia em que passares o Jordão à terra que te der o Senhor teu Deus, levantar-te-ás umas pedras grandes, e as caiarás.

2And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaister them with plaister:

3E, havendo-o passado, escreverás nelas todas as palavras desta lei, para entrares na terra que te der o Senhor teu Deus, terra que mana leite e mel, como te falou o Senhor Deus de teus pais.

3And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee.

4Será, pois, que, quando houveres passado o Jordão, levantareis estas pedras, que hoje vos ordeno, no monte Ebal, e as caiarás.

4Therefore it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, {that} ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with plaister.

5E ali edificarás um altar ao Senhor teu Deus, um altar de pedras; não alçarás instrumento de ferro sobre elas.

5And there shalt thou build an altar unto the LORD thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up {any} iron {tool} upon them.

6De pedras brutas edificarás o altar do Senhor teu Deus; e sobre ele oferecerás holocaustos ao Senhor teu Deus.

6Thou shalt build the altar of the LORD thy God of whole stones: and thou shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD thy God:

7Também sacrificarás ofertas pacíficas, e ali comerás perante o Senhor teu Deus, e te alegrarás.

7And thou shalt offer peace offerings, and shalt eat there, and rejoice before the LORD thy God.

8E naquelas pedras escreverás todas as palavras desta lei, exprimindo-as nitidamente.

8And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.

9Falou mais Moisés, juntamente com os sacerdotes levitas, a todo o Israel, dizendo: Guarda silêncio e ouve, ó Israel! Hoje vieste a ser povo do Senhor teu Deus.

9And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the LORD thy God.

10Portanto obedecerás à voz do Senhor teu Deus, e cumprirás os seus mandamentos e os seus estatutos que hoje te ordeno.

10Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.

11E Moisés deu ordem naquele dia ao povo, dizendo:

11And Moses charged the people the same day, saying,

12Quando houverdes passado o Jordão, estes estarão sobre o monte Gerizim, para abençoarem o povo: Simeão, e Levi, e Judá, e Issacar, e José, e Benjamim;

12These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:

13E estes estarão sobre o monte Ebal para amaldiçoar: Rúben, Gade, e Aser, e Zebulom, Dã e Naftali.

13And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali. {to curse: Heb. for a cursing}

14E os levitas testificarão a todo o povo de Israel em alta voz, e dirão:

14And the Levites shall speak, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,

15Maldito o homem que fizer imagem de escultura, ou de fundição, abominação ao Senhor, obra da mão do artífice, e a puser em um lugar escondido. E todo o povo, respondendo, dirá: Amém.

15Cursed {be} the man that maketh {any} graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth {it} in {a} secret {place}. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.

16Maldito aquele que desprezar a seu pai ou a sua mãe. E todo o povo dirá: Amém.

16Cursed {be} he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

17Maldito aquele que remover os limites do seu próximo. E todo o povo dirá: Amém.

17Cursed {be} he that removeth his neighbour's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.

18Maldito aquele que fizer que o cego erre de caminho. E todo o povo dirá: Amém.

18Cursed {be} he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.

19Maldito aquele que perverter o direito do estrangeiro, do órfão e da viúva. E todo o povo dirá: Amém.

19Cursed {be} he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.

20Maldito aquele que se deitar com a mulher de seu pai, porquanto descobriu a nudez de seu pai. E todo o povo dirá: Amém.

20Cursed {be} he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.

21Maldito aquele que se deitar com algum animal. E todo o povo dirá: Amém.

21Cursed {be} he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.

22Maldito aquele que se deitar com sua irmã, filha de seu pai, ou filha de sua mãe. E todo o povo dirá: Amém.

22Cursed {be} he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

23Maldito aquele que se deitar com sua sogra. E todo o povo dirá: Amém.

23Cursed {be} he that lieth with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen.

24Maldito aquele que ferir ao seu próximo em oculto. E todo o povo dirá: Amém.

24Cursed {be} he that smiteth his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.

25Maldito aquele que aceitar suborno para ferir uma pessoa inocente. E todo o povo dirá: Amém.

25Cursed {be} he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.

26Maldito aquele que não confirmar as palavras desta lei, não as cumprindo. E todo o povo dirá: Amém.

26Cursed {be} he that confirmeth not {all} the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.
