Deuteronômio 15

1Ao fim dos sete anos farás remissão.

1At the end of {every} seven years thou shalt make a release.

2Este, pois, é o modo da remissão: todo o credor remitirá o que emprestou ao seu próximo; não o exigirá do seu próximo ou do seu irmão, pois a remissão do Senhor é apregoada.

2And this {is} the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth {ought} unto his neighbour shall release {it}; he shall not exact {it} of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the LORD'S release. {creditor: Heb. master of the lending of his hand}

3Do estrangeiro o exigirás; mas o que tiveres em poder de teu irmão a tua mão o remitirá.

3Of a foreigner thou mayest exact {it again}: but {that} which is thine with thy brother thine hand shall release;

4Exceto quando não houver entre ti pobre algum; pois o Senhor abundantemente te abençoará na terra que o Senhor teu Deus te dará por herança, para possuí-la.

4Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the LORD shall greatly bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee {for} an inheritance to possess it: {Save...: or, To the end that there be no poor among you}

5Se somente ouvires diligentemente a voz do Senhor teu Deus para cuidares em cumprir todos estes mandamentos que hoje te ordeno;

5Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day.

6Porque o Senhor teu Deus te abençoará, como te tem falado; assim, emprestarás a muitas nações, mas não tomarás empréstimos; e dominarás sobre muitas nações, mas elas não dominarão sobre ti.

6For the LORD thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

7Quando entre ti houver algum pobre, de teus irmãos, em alguma das tuas portas, na terra que o Senhor teu Deus te dá, não endurecerás o teu coração, nem fecharás a tua mão a teu irmão que for pobre;

7If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:

8Antes lhe abrirás de todo a tua mão, e livremente lhe emprestarás o que lhe falta, quanto baste para a sua necessidade.

8But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, {in that} which he wanteth.

9Guarda-te, que não haja palavra perversa no teu coração, dizendo: Vai-se aproximando o sétimo ano, o ano da remissão; e que o teu olho seja maligno para com teu irmão pobre, e não lhe dês nada; e que ele clame contra ti ao Senhor, e que haja em ti pecado.

9Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin unto thee. {thought: Heb. word} {wicked: Heb. Belial}

10Livremente lhe darás, e que o teu coração não seja maligno, quando lhe deres; pois por esta causa te abençoará o Senhor teu Deus em toda a tua obra, e em tudo o que puseres a tua mão.

10Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.

11Pois nunca deixará de haver pobre na terra; pelo que te ordeno, dizendo: Livremente abrirás a tua mão para o teu irmão, para o teu necessitado, e para o teu pobre na tua terra.

11For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

12Quando teu irmão hebreu ou irmã hebréia se vender a ti, seis anos te servirá, mas no sétimo ano o deixarás ir livre.

12{And} if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee.

13E, quando o deixares ir livre, não o despedirás vazio.

13And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away empty:

14Liberalmente o fornecerás do teu rebanho, e da tua eira, e do teu lagar; daquilo com que o Senhor teu Deus te tiver abençoado lhe darás.

14Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: {of that} wherewith the LORD thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him.

15E lembrar-te-ás de que foste servo na terra do Egito, e de que o Senhor teu Deus te resgatou; portanto hoje te ordeno isso.

15And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the LORD thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.

16Porém se ele te disser: Não sairei de ti; porquanto te amo a ti, e a tua casa, por estar bem contigo;

16And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee; because he loveth thee and thine house, because he is well with thee;

17Então tomarás uma sovela, e lhe furarás a orelha à porta, e teu servo será para sempre; e também assim farás à tua serva.

17Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust {it} through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise.

18Não seja duro aos teus olhos, quando despedi-lo liberto de ti; pois seis anos te serviu em equivalência ao dobro do salário do diarista; assim o Senhor teu Deus te abençoará em tudo o que fizeres.

18It shall not seem hard unto thee, when thou sendest him away free from thee; for he hath been worth a double hired servant {to thee}, in serving thee six years: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest.

19Todo o primogênito que nascer das tuas vacas e das tuas ovelhas, o macho santificarás ao Senhor teu Deus; com o primogênito do teu boi não trabalharás, nem tosquiarás o primogênito das tuas ovelhas.

19All the firstling males that come of thy herd and of thy flock thou shalt sanctify unto the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work with the firstling of thy bullock, nor shear the firstling of thy sheep.

20Perante o Senhor teu Deus os comerás de ano em ano, no lugar que o Senhor escolher, tu e a tua casa.

20Thou shalt eat {it} before the LORD thy God year by year in the place which the LORD shall choose, thou and thy household.

21Porém, havendo nele algum defeito, se for coxo, ou cego, ou tiver qualquer defeito, não o sacrificarás ao Senhor teu Deus.

21And if there be {any} blemish therein, {as if it be} lame, or blind, {or have} any ill blemish, thou shalt not sacrifice it unto the LORD thy God.

22Nas tuas portas o comerás; o imundo e o limpo o comerão também, como da corça ou do veado.

22Thou shalt eat it within thy gates: the unclean and the clean {person shall eat it} alike, as the roebuck, and as the hart.

23Somente o seu sangue não comerás; sobre a terra o derramarás como água.

23Only thou shalt not eat the blood thereof; thou shalt pour it upon the ground as water.
