Deuteronômio 14

1Filhos sois do SENHOR vosso Deus; não vos dareis golpes, nem fareis calva entre vossos olhos por causa de algum morto.

1Ye {are} the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.

2Porque és povo santo ao Senhor teu Deus; e o Senhor te escolheu, de todos os povos que há sobre a face da terra, para lhe seres o seu próprio povo.

2For thou {art} an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that {are} upon the earth.

3Nenhuma coisa abominável comereis.

3Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.

4Estes são os animais que comereis: o boi, a ovelha, e a cabra.

4These {are} the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,

5O veado e a corça, e o búfalo, e a cabra montês, e o texugo, e a camurça, e o gamo.

5The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois. {pygarg: or bison: Heb. dishon}

6Todo o animal que tem unhas fendidas, divididas em duas, que rumina, entre os animais, aquilo comereis.

6And every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, {and} cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall eat.

7Porém estes não comereis, dos que somente ruminam, ou que têm a unha fendida: o camelo, e a lebre, e o coelho, porque ruminam mas não têm a unha fendida; imundos vos serão.

7Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; {as} the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; {therefore} they {are} unclean unto you.

8Nem o porco, porque tem unha fendida, mas não rumina; imundo vos será; não comereis da carne destes, e não tocareis nos seus cadáveres.

8And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it {is} unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.

9Isto comereis de tudo o que há nas águas; tudo o que tem barbatanas e escamas comereis.

9These ye shall eat of all that {are} in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:

10Mas tudo o que não tiver barbatanas nem escamas não o comereis; imundo vos será.

10And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it {is} unclean unto you.

11Toda a ave limpa comereis.

11{Of} all clean birds ye shall eat.

12Porém estas são as que não comereis: a águia, e o quebrantosso, e o xofrango,

12But these {are they} of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,

13E o abutre, e o falcão, e o milhafre, segundo a sua espécie.

13And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind,

14E todo o corvo, segundo a sua espécie.

14And every raven after his kind,

15E o avestruz, e o mocho, e a gaivota, e o gavião, segundo a sua espécie.

15And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,

16E o bufo, e a coruja, e a gralha,

16The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,

17E o cisne, e o pelicano, e o corvo marinho,

17And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant,

18E a cegonha, e a garça, segundo a sua espécie, e a poupa, e o morcego.

18And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.

19Também todo o inseto que voa, vos será imundo; não se comerá.

19And every creeping thing that flieth {is} unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.

20Toda a ave limpa comereis.

20{But of} all clean fowls ye may eat.

21Não comereis nenhum animal morto; ao estrangeiro, que está dentro das tuas portas, o darás a comer, ou o venderás ao estranho, porquanto és povo santo ao Senhor teu Deus. Não cozerás o cabrito com leite da sua mãe.

21Ye shall not eat {of} any thing that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that {is} in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou {art} an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

22Certamente darás os dízimos de todo o fruto da tua semente, que cada ano se recolher do campo.

22Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.

23E, perante o Senhor teu Deus, no lugar que escolher para ali fazer habitar o seu nome, comerás os dízimos do teu grão, do teu mosto e do teu azeite, e os primogênitos das tuas vacas e das tuas ovelhas; para que aprendas a temer ao Senhor teu Deus todos os dias.

23And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.

24E quando o caminho te for tão comprido que os não possas levar, por estar longe de ti o lugar que escolher o Senhor teu Deus para ali pôr o seu nome, quando o Senhor teu Deus te tiver abençoado;

24And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; {or} if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:

25Então vende-os, e ata o dinheiro na tua mão, e vai ao lugar que escolher o Senhor teu Deus;

25Then shalt thou turn {it} into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:

26E aquele dinheiro darás por tudo o que deseja a tua alma, por vacas, e por ovelhas, e por vinho, e por bebida forte, e por tudo o que te pedir a tua alma; come-o ali perante o Senhor teu Deus, e alegra-te, tu e a tua casa;

26And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household, {desireth: Heb. asketh of thee}

27Porém não desampararás o levita que está dentro das tuas portas; pois não tem parte nem herança contigo.

27And the Levite that {is} within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.

28Ao fim de três anos tirarás todos os dízimos da tua colheita no mesmo ano, e os recolherás dentro das tuas portas;

28At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay {it} up within thy gates:

29Então virá o levita (pois nem parte nem herança tem contigo), e o estrangeiro, e o órfão, e a viúva, que estão dentro das tuas portas, e comerão, e fartar-se-ão; para que o Senhor teu Deus te abençoe em toda a obra que as tuas mãos fizerem.

29And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which {are} within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.
