1Satanás disse ao Inferno: 'Prepara-te para receber alguém que vou trazer-te.'

1Satan said to the Underworld: 'Prepare yourself to receive someone I am going to bring you.'

2O Inferno respondeu: 'Esta voz foi o brado do Filho do Pai Altíssimo.'

2The Underworld answered: 'This voice was the cry of the Son of the Most High Father.'

3'A terra e os lugares do Inferno entraram em comoção diante de suas palavras.'

3'The earth and the places of the Underworld were shaken before his words.'

4'Não o tragas a mim, a não ser que venhamos nós a ser presos por ele.'

4'Do not bring him to me, lest we ourselves be captured by him.'

5'Se somente com sua voz minha fortaleza ficou desfeita, que fazer em sua presença?'

5'If only with his voice my fortress was undone, what shall I do in his presence?'

6O Inferno disse: 'Deixa-me esconder-me, pois não posso suportar sua força.'

6The Underworld said: 'Let me hide, for I cannot bear his strength.'

7Naquele momento, Cristo entrou, flagelou Satanás e o atou com correntes que não se rompem.
