2E, passado o sábado, Maria Madalena, e Maria, mãe de Tiago, e Salomé, compraram aromas para irem ungi-lo.

2And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.

3E, no primeiro dia da semana, foram ao sepulcro, de manhã cedo, ao nascer do sol.

3And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.

4E diziam umas às outras: Quem nos revolverá a pedra da porta do sepulcro?

4And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?

5E, olhando, viram que já a pedra estava revolvida; e era ela muito grande.

5And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

6E, entrando no sepulcro, viram um jovem assentado à direita, vestido de uma roupa comprida, branca; e ficaram espantadas.

6And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.

7Ele, porém, disse-lhes: Não vos espanteis; buscais a Jesus Nazareno, que foi crucificado; já ressuscitou, não está aqui; eis aqui o lugar onde o puseram.

7And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

8Mas ide, dizei a seus discípulos, e a Pedro, que ele vai adiante de vós para a Galileia; ali o vereis, como ele vos disse.

8But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

9E, saindo elas, fugiram temorosas; porque tremiam e estavam assombradas; e nada diziam a ninguém, porque temiam.

9And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.
