Atos de Tomé 2

1Tomé disse ao Senhor: 'Por isso suplico que responda a minha pergunta antes de tua ascensão.'

1Thomas said to the Lord: 'Therefore I beseech you to answer my question before your ascension.'

2'Quando eu tiver-te ouvido sobre as coisas ocultas, poderei, então falar sobre elas.'

2'When I have heard from you about hidden things, I will then be able to speak about them.'

3'Pois está claro para mim que a Verdade é difícil de ser alcançada na frente de todos.'

3'For it is clear to me that the Truth is difficult to attain in front of everyone.'

4O Salvador respondeu: 'Se o que é invisível ainda te é obscuro, como entenderás o que não pode ver?'

4The Savior answered: 'If what is invisible is still obscure to you, how will you understand what cannot be seen?'

5'Se encontras dificuldades em te atinar com as manifestações da Verdade visíveis no mundo, como então alcançarás o que é invisível?'

5'If you find difficulty in attuning yourself to the manifestations of Truth visible in the world, how then will you reach what is invisible?'

6'Como podereis ser chamado de operários, se sois aprendizes e não chegastes ainda ao auge da perfeição?'

6'How can you be called workers, if you are apprentices and have not yet reached the height of perfection?'

7O Salvador disse: 'Todos os corpos de homens e animais perecem. O que estiver sujeito à transformação perecerá e se perderá.'

7The Savior said: 'All bodies of men and animals perish. Whatever is subject to transformation will perish and be lost.'
