Atos de Paulo 6

1Nas minas onde Paulo fora condenado, Longino e Firmila tinham uma filha por nome Frontina, que havia morrido e cujo corpo havia de ser precipitado de um rochedo porque se tornara cristã. E Paulo trabalhava jejuando, com grande ânimo, com os prisioneiros.

1In the mines where Paul was condemned, Longinus and Firmilla had a daughter, Frontina, who had died, and whose body was to be cast down from a rock because she had become a Christian. And Paul worked fasting, in great cheerfulness, with the prisoners.

2E ao terceiro dia trouxeram os soldados a Frontina sobre um esquife, e toda a cidade a seguia, chorando. Mas quando Paulo tomou a donzela em seus braços, gemeu perante o Senhor Jesus Cristo por causa da tristeza de Firmila, e pôs-se de joelhos, orando por Frontina.

2And on the third day the soldiers brought forth Frontina upon a bier, and all the city followed after her, weeping. But when Paul had taken the daughter in his arms, he groaned unto the Lord Jesus Christ because of the sorrow of Firmilla, and cast himself on his knees, praying for Frontina.

3Naquela mesma hora ressuscitou Frontina viva. E toda a multidão temeu e fugiu. Paulo tomou a donzela pela mão e a conduziu pela cidade até a casa de Longino; e toda a multidão dizia a uma só voz: Um só é o Deus que fez o céu e a terra, o qual concedeu a vida à donzela por meio de Paulo.

3In that hour Frontina rose up alive. And the whole multitude was afraid, and fled. Paul took the hand of the daughter and led her through the city unto the house of Longinus, and the whole multitude said with one voice: God is one, who hath made heaven and earth, who hath granted life unto the maiden through Paul.
