Atos de Paulo 5

1Tendo Paulo entrado em Tiro, ajuntou-se a ele uma multidão de judeus, e ouviam as maravilhas de Deus, e maravilhavam-se da graça que lhe fora concedida.

1Now when Paul was entered unto Tyre there came a multitude of Jews in to him, and they heard the mighty works of God, and marvelled at the grace that was given unto him.

2E Paulo pregava as boas-novas de Jesus Cristo, dizendo: Moisés e os profetas testificaram daquele a quem o Pai enviou ao mundo.

2And Paul preached the good tidings of Jesus Christ, saying: Moses and the prophets testified of him whom the Father hath sent into the world.

3Outra vez vos digo que o homem não é justificado pela Lei, mas é justificado pela fé e pelas obras de justiça mediante Jesus Cristo.

3Again I say unto you, that a man is not justified by the Law, but that he is justified by faith and the works of righteousness through Jesus Christ.

4Portanto, lançai de vós o jugo da servidão, para que toda a carne venha ao pleno conhecimento da verdade, e toda a língua confesse que Jesus Cristo é o Senhor, para glória de Deus Pai.

4Wherefore cast off the yoke of bondage, that all flesh may come to the knowledge of the truth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

5E muitos dos judeus e dos gregos creram e se converteram ao Senhor, e foram batizados em seu santo nome.

5And many of the Jews and Greeks believed and turned unto the Lord, and were baptized in his holy name.
