Ascensão de Isaías 8

1Ora, ele me fez subir ao sexto céu, e vi um esplendor que não havia visto no quinto.

1Now he made me ascend to the sixth heaven, and I saw a splendor that I had not seen in the fifth.

2E os anjos eram envoltos por uma imensa glória.

2And the angels were enveloped by an immense glory.

3E eu disse ao anjo que me conduzia: 'Que estou vendo, ó meu Senhor?'

3And I said to the angel who was leading me: 'What am I seeing, O my Lord?'

4E ele me disse: 'Não sou o teu Senhor, mas apenas o teu companheiro.'

4And he said to me: 'I am not your Lord, but only your companion.'

5E ele me disse: 'No sétimo céu habita aquele que não tem nome, e o Amado.'

5And he said to me: 'In the seventh heaven dwells he who has no name, and the Beloved.'

6E lá se invocava primeiro o Pai, depois o Cristo, seu Amado, e depois o Espírito Santo.

6And there was invoked first the Father, then Christ, his Beloved, and then the Holy Spirit.

7E as coisas que se diziam eram bem diferentes; mais suaves eram as vozes, mais brilhante era a luz.

7And the things that were said were quite different; sweeter were the voices, brighter was the light.
