1E ouvi em que parte da terra ele nasceria, como predisse outro profeta, Miqueias. Ele disse: "E tu, Belém, terra de Judá, não és a menor entre os príncipes de Judá; pois de ti sairá um Governante que apascentará meu povo." Há agora uma aldeia na terra dos judeus, a trinta e cinco estádios de Jerusalém, na qual nasceu Jesus Cristo, como podeis verificar também nos registros do recenseamento feito sob Quirino, vosso primeiro procurador na Judeia.
