Apócrifo de Ezequiel 4

1Tão certo como eu vivo, diz o Senhor, não desejo a morte do pecador tanto quanto o seu arrependimento; arrependei-vos, ó casa de Israel, da vossa iniquidade.

1As I live, saith the Lord, I desire not the death of the sinner so much as his repentance; repent ye, O house of Israel, of your iniquity.

2Dize aos filhos do meu povo: Se os vossos pecados forem desde a terra até o céu, e se forem mais vermelhos que o escarlate e mais negros que o cilício, e vos converterdes a mim de todo o vosso coração e disserdes 'Pai', eu vos ouvirei como a um povo santo.

2Say unto the children of my people: If your sins be from the earth even unto the heaven, and if they be redder than scarlet and blacker than sackcloth, and ye turn unto me with your whole heart and say 'Father,' I will hearken unto you as unto a holy people.
