Apocalipse de Pedro 8

1O Salvador respondeu-me: 'Aquele que tu viste sereno e sorridente sobre a árvore, esse é o Jesus em vida.'

1The Savior answered me: 'He whom you saw serene and smiling upon the tree, that one is the Jesus in life.'

2'Mas aquele a quem trespassaram mãos e pés com pregos, esse é a sua parte corpórea, isto é, o seu substituto exposto à vergonha.'

2'But he whose hands and feet they pierced with nails, that one is his bodily part, that is, his substitute exposed to shame.'

3'Olha para Ele e para mim!' Mas eu, depois de ter olhado, disse: 'Senhor, ninguém Te vê, fujamos daqui!'

3'Look at Him and at me!' But I, after having looked, said: 'Lord, no one sees You, let us flee from here!'

4Mas Ele disse-me: 'Eu te disse que eles são cegos. Deixa-os sós! Tu apercebes-te do quão pouco compreendem o que dizem.'

4But He said to me: 'I told you that they are blind. Leave them alone! You perceive how little they understand what they say.'

5E eu vi, aproximando-se de nós, um que se parecia com Ele, exatamente com aquele que estava sorridente sobre a árvore. Ele estava pleno com o Espírito Santo, Ele é o Salvador.

5And I saw, approaching us, one who resembled Him, exactly like that one who was smiling upon the tree. He was full with the Holy Spirit, He is the Savior.

6Havia uma forte e inexprimível luz que os envolvia e uma multidão inefável e invisível de anjos que os louvavam.

6There was a strong and inexpressible light that enveloped them and an ineffable and invisible multitude of angels who praised them.
