Apocalipse de Pedro 2

1Enquanto Ele assim falava, eu vi os sacerdotes e o povo correndo em nossa direção com pedras, como se quisessem matar-nos. Tive medo de que estivéssemos para morrer.

1While He was thus speaking, I saw the priests and the people running toward us with stones, as if they wished to kill us. I feared that we were about to die.

2E Ele me disse: 'Pedro, diversas vezes te disse que estes estão cegos, desprovidos de qualquer guia. Se queres conhecer a sua cegueira, coloca tuas mãos sobre teus olhos e dize-me o que vês.'

2And He said to me: 'Peter, many times I have told you that these are blind, devoid of any guide. If you want to know their blindness, place your hands over your eyes and tell me what you see.'

3Entretanto, isto feito, eu não via absolutamente nada. E eu disse: 'Nada há para ver!' Ele disse-me novamente: 'Volta a proceder do mesmo modo.'

3However, having done this, I saw absolutely nothing. And I said: 'There is nothing to see!' He said to me again: 'Proceed in the same way once more.'

4Fui invadido por um medo agradável, porque vi uma luz nova, mais forte que a luz do dia; por fim enxerguei o Salvador. E eu falei-lhe das coisas que havia visto.

4I was invaded by a pleasant fear, because I saw a new light, stronger than the light of day; finally I saw the Savior. And I spoke to him of the things I had seen.

5Voltou a me dizer: 'Eleva as tuas mãos e ouve o que dizem os sacerdotes e o povo.' Eu prestei atenção aos sacerdotes que se sentaram com os escribas, enquanto a multidão lá fora bradava.

5He said to me again: 'Raise your hands and hear what the priests and the people are saying.' I paid attention to the priests who sat with the scribes, while the multitude outside was shouting.

6Quando Ele ouviu de mim estas coisas, disse-me: 'Apura os ouvidos e escuta o que eles dizem.' Eu novamente prestei atenção.

6When He heard these things from me, He said to me: 'Sharpen your ears and listen to what they say.' I again paid attention.

7Quando eu disse isto, o Salvador prosseguiu: 'Disse-te que eles são cegos e surdos. Ora, então ouve as coisas que te dirão em segredo, e guarda-as.'

7When I said this, the Savior continued: 'I told you that they are blind and deaf. Now then hear the things they will tell you in secret, and keep them.'
