Apocalipse de Pedro 17

1E eis que de repente veio uma voz do céu, dizendo: Este é o meu Filho amado, em quem me comprazo; Ele guardou os meus mandamentos.

1And behold, suddenly there came a voice from heaven, saying: This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased: <he hath kept>) my commandments.

2E veio logo uma nuvem grande e extremamente branca sobre as nossas cabeças e levou embora o nosso Senhor, e Moisés e Elias.

2And then came a great and exceeding white cloud over our heads and bare away our Lord and Moses and Elias.

3E eu tremi e fiquei com temor; e olhamos para cima, e o céu se abriu e contemplamos homens em carne, e eles vieram e saudaram o nosso Senhor, e Moisés e Elias, e entraram em outro céu.

3And I trembled and was afraid: and we looked up; and the heaven opened and we beheld men in the flesh, and they came and greeted our Lord and Moses and Elias and went into another heaven.

4E cumpriu-se a palavra da Escritura: Esta é a geração daqueles que o buscam e buscam a face do Deus de Jacó.

4And the word of the scripture was fulfilled: This is the generation that seeketh him and seeketh the face of the God of Jacob.

5E houve grande temor e comoção no céu, e os anjos se comprimiam uns contra os outros para que se cumprisse a palavra da Escritura que diz: Abri as portas, ó príncipes.

5And great fear and commotion was there in heaven, and the angels pressed one upon another that the word of the scripture might be fulfilled which saith: Open the gates, ye princes.

6Depois disso o céu se fechou, aquele que estivera aberto.

6Thereafter was the heaven shut, that had been open.

7E oramos e descemos do monte, glorificando a Deus, que escreveu os nomes dos justos no céu, no livro da vida.

7And we prayed and went down from the mountain, glorifying God, which hath written the names of the righteous in heaven in the book of life.
