Apocalipse de Paulo 17

1E outra vez olhei, e eis uma alma que foi trazida por dois anjos, chorando e dizendo: Tem misericórdia de mim, Tu, justo Deus, ó Deus juiz.

1And again I looked, and behold a soul that was brought by two angels, weeping and saying: Have mercy on me, you righteous God, O just judge.

2Porque hoje faz sete dias desde que saí do meu corpo, e fui entregue a estes dois anjos, e eles me conduziram àqueles lugares que eu nunca tinha visto.

2Because today it has been seven days since I left my body, and I was delivered to these two angels, and they led me to those places I had never seen.

3E Deus, o justo juiz, disse-lhe: O que fizeste?

3And God, the righteous judge, said to it: What have you done?

4Porque tu nunca praticaste a misericórdia, por isso tu foste entregue a tais anjos que não têm misericórdia.

4Because you never practiced mercy, therefore you were delivered to such angels who have no mercy.

5E porque não fizeste o que é justo, por isso não se importam contigo na hora da tua necessidade.

5And because you did not do what is right, therefore they do not care for you in the hour of your necessity.

6Confessa, pois, os teus pecados que cometeste quando foste no mundo.

6Confess, therefore, the sins you committed when you were in the world.

7E a alma respondeu e disse: Senhor, eu não pequei.

7And the soul answered and said: Lord, I did not sin.

8E o justo Senhor Deus indignou-se quando disse: Eu não pequei, porque menti.

8And the righteous Lord God was indignant when he said: I did not sin, because he lied.

9E Deus disse: Pensas-tu que ainda estás no mundo? Se cada um de vocês lá quando peca, esconde e oculta o seu pecado de seu próximo.

9And God said: Do you think you are still in the world? If each of you there when he sins, hides and conceals his sin from his neighbor.

10Contudo ao Deus nada está oculto. Pois quando as almas vêm para adorar perante o trono, tanto as boas obras quanto os pecados de cada um são manifestos.

10Nevertheless from God nothing is hidden. For when souls come to worship before the throne, both the good works and the sins of each one are manifest.

11E quando a alma ouviu isso, ficou em silêncio, sem resposta.

11And when the soul heard this, it was silent, without answer.

12E ouvi o Senhor Deus, o justo Juiz, dizendo novamente: Vem, tu anjo desta alma, e fica no meio.

12And I heard the Lord God, the righteous Judge, saying again: Come, you angel of this soul, and stand in the midst.

13E veio o anjo da alma pecadora, tendo escritos em suas mãos, e disse: Estes, Senhor, que estão em minhas mãos, são todos os pecados desta alma desde a sua juventude até o dia de hoje.

13And the angel of the sinful soul came, having writings in his hands, and said: These, Lord, which are in my hands, are all the sins of this soul from its youth to the present day.

14Desde o nascimento aos dez anos de sua vida. E se você me solicitar, Senhor, eu posso dizer os seus atos desde que começou a ter quinze anos de idade.

14From birth to ten years of its life. And if you request, Lord, I can tell its deeds from when it was fifteen years of age.

15E o Senhor Deus, o justo juiz, disse: Eu te digo, ó anjo, não desejo de ti a conta desde que começou a ter quinze anos de idade.

15And the Lord God, the righteous judge, said: I tell you, O angel, I do not desire of you the account from when it was fifteen years of age.

16Mas declare apenas os pecados cometidos dos seus últimos cinco anos até o dia que ele morreu e veio para cá.

16But declare only the sins committed in its last five years until the day it died and came here.

17E novamente Deus, o justo juiz, disse: Pois por mim mesmo juro, e pelos meus santos anjos e pelo meu poder.

17And again God, the righteous judge, said: For by myself I swear, and by my holy angels and by my power.

18Que se tivesse se arrependido cinco anos antes de morrer, mesmo que por apenas um ano, haveria esquecimento de todo o mal que cometeu antes e haveria perdão e remissão dos seus pecados.

18That if it had repented five years before it died, even if for only one year, there would be forgetfulness of all the evil it committed before and there would be pardon and remission of its sins.

19Mas agora pereça.

19But now it shall perish.

20E o anjo da alma pecadora respondeu e disse: Ordene, Senhor, que anjos tragam outras almas.

20And the angel of the sinful soul answered and said: Command, Lord, that angels bring other souls.
