Apocalipse de Paulo 15

1E o anjo disse: E saiu para barrar poderes maus, aqueles que estão nos céus do firmamento.

1And the angel said: And he went out to bar evil powers, those who are in the heavens of the firmament.

2E chegou a ela o espírito do erro e disse: Para onde corres tu, oh alma?

2And the spirit of error came to her and said: Where do you run, oh soul?

3Porventura te apressas para entrar no céu? Espere e deixa-nos ver se há algo nosso em ti.

3Do you perhaps hasten to enter heaven? Wait and let us see if there is anything of ours in you.

4E eis que nós não encontramos nada em ti.

4And behold we found nothing in you.

5Eu também vejo a ajuda de Deus e do teu anjo, e o espírito de Deus se regozija contigo porque fizeste a vontade dele sobre a terra.

5I also see the help of God and of your angel, and the spirit of God rejoices with you because you did his will on earth.

6Então o espírito do erro lamenta. Então conforme a alma avança, encontra também o espírito do tentador e o da fornicação, e ela escapa deles todos, e eles lamentam.

6Then the spirit of error laments. Then as the soul advances, it also meets the spirit of the tempter and of fornication, and it escapes from them all, and they lament.

7Então todos os principados e os espíritos malignos vêm ao encontro da alma, e não encontrando nada que impeça de passar, rangem os dentes.

7Then all the principalities and evil spirits come to meet the soul, and finding nothing to prevent it from passing, they gnash their teeth.

8E existe um conflito entre os anjos bons e os maus, e o anjo da guarda manda que eles voltem: Vocês tentaram essa alma e ela não quis ouvir vocês.

8And there is a conflict between the good and the evil angels, and the guardian angel commands them to go back: You tested this soul and it would not listen to you.

9E a voz de muitos anjos é ouvida regozijando-se sobre a alma, e eles a trouxeram até adorarem na presença de Deus.

9And the voice of many angels is heard rejoicing over the soul, and they brought it to worship in the presence of God.

10E quando eles tinham cessado, imediatamente Miguel e todo o exército dos anjos caíram e adoraram diante do trono.

10And when they had ceased, immediately Michael and all the host of angels fell and worshiped before the throne.

11E disseram juntos para a alma: Este é o Deus de todos, que te fez em sua imagem e semelhança.

11And they said together to the soul: This is the God of all, who made you in his image and likeness.

12E o anjo voltou e declarou, dizendo: Senhor, lembre-se de suas obras, porque esta é a alma da qual eu relatei as obras a ti, Senhor, fazendo conforme o teu julgamento.

12And the angel returned and declared, saying: Lord, remember his works, for this is the soul whose works I reported to you, Lord, doing according to your judgment.

13E da mesma forma o espírito disse: Eu sou o espírito de vida que soprou sobre ele, porque nele me regozijei no tempo em que habitava, fazendo segundo o teu juízo.

13And likewise the spirit said: I am the spirit of life that breathed upon him, for in him I rejoiced in the time when I dwelt, doing according to your judgment.

14E veio a voz de Deus, dizendo: Assim como esta alma não me entristeceu, também não a entristecerei.

14And the voice of God came, saying: As this soul did not grieve me, neither will I grieve it.

15Porque assim como se compadeceu e teve misericórdia dos outros, também eu terei misericórdia dela.

15Because as it had compassion and showed mercy to others, I also will have mercy on it.

16Portanto, seja entregue a Miguel, o anjo da aliança, e leve-o ao paraíso da alegria, para que ele se torne um herdeiro com todos os santos.

16Therefore let it be delivered to Michael, the angel of the covenant, and let him take it to the paradise of joy, that it may become an heir with all the saints.

17E depois disso ouvi as vozes de milhares de anjos e arcanjos e os querubins e os vinte e quatro anciãos proferindo hinos e glorificando o Senhor.

17And after this I heard the voices of thousands of angels and archangels and the cherubim and the twenty-four elders uttering hymns and glorifying the Lord.

18E clamando: Justo és, ó Senhor, e são justos os teus juízos, e não há respeito de pessoas contigo, mas tu recompensas todo homem segundo as suas obras.

18And crying out: Righteous are you, O Lord, and righteous are your judgments, and there is no respect of persons with you, but you reward every man according to his works.

19E o anjo respondeu e disse-me: Crês? Sabes que tudo que cada um de vós tem feito de bom, ele se lembrará disso na hora da sua necessidade?

19And the angel answered and said to me: Do you believe? Do you know that whatever each of you has done of good, he will remember at the hour of his necessity?

20E eu disse: Sim, Senhor.

20And I said: Yes, Lord.
