Apocalipse de Moisés 36

1E disse Sete à sua mãe que eles são o sol e a lua, e que eles próprios se prostram e oram em favor de meu pai Adão. Disse-lhe Eva: E onde está a luz deles, e por que tomaram tão escura aparência?

1And Seth telleth his mother, that they are the sun and moon and themselves fall down and pray on behalf of my father Adam. Eve saith to him: 'And where is their light and why have they taken on such a black appearance' And

2E respondeu-lhe Sete: A luz não os deixou, mas eles não podem resplandecer diante da Luz do Universo, o Pai das Luzes; e por esta razão a sua luz lhes foi ocultada.

2Seth answereth her, 'The light hath not left them, but they cannot shine before the Light of the Universe, the Father of Light; and on this account their light hath been hidden from them.
