Apocalipse de Moisés 23

1E chamou Deus a Adão, dizendo: Adão, onde estás? Pode porventura a casa ocultar-se da presença do seu edificador? Então vosso pai respondeu: Não é porque pensemos não ser achados por ti, Senhor, que nos escondemos, mas temi, porque estou nu, e envergonhei-me diante do teu poder, ó meu Senhor.

1And God called Adam saying, "Adam, where art thou Can the house be hidden from the presence of its builder "Then your father answered; "It is not because we think not to be found by thee, Lord, that we hide, but I was afraid, because I am naked, and I was ashamed before thy might,

2Disse-lhe Deus: Quem te mostrou que estás nu, a não ser que tenhas desamparado o meu mandamento, o qual te entreguei para que o guardasses? Então Adão lembrou-se da palavra que eu lhe dissera: Eu te tornarei seguro diante de Deus; e virou-se e disse-me: Por que fizeste isto? E eu disse: A serpente me enganou.

2(my) Master." God saith to him, "Who showed thee that thou art naked, unless thou hast forsaken my commandment, which I delivered thee to keep (it)." Then Adam called to mind the word which I spake to him, (saying) "I will make thee secure before God"; and he turned and said to me: "Why hast thou done this" And I said, "The serpent deceived me."
