1E Adão disse a Sete: Quando eu morrer, escreve tudo o que viste e ouviste.

1And Adam said to Seth: When I die, write down everything you have seen and heard.

2Para que as gerações futuras saibam.

2So that future generations may know.

3E quando Adão terminou de falar, entregou seu espírito.

3And when Adam finished speaking, he gave up his spirit.

4E o sol, a lua e as estrelas se obscureceram por sete dias.

4And the sun, the moon and the stars were darkened for seven days.

5E Sete chorou sobre o corpo de seu pai.

5And Seth wept over the body of his father.

6E Eva olhou para o céu e disse: Tenho pecado, Senhor!

6And Eve looked to heaven and said: I have sinned, Lord!

7Tem piedade de mim e de teu servo Adão.

7Have mercy on me and on your servant Adam.

8E ela também morreu e foi sepultada ao lado de Adão.

8And she also died and was buried beside Adam.
