Apocalipse de Abraão 18

1E eu vi ali a semelhança do ídolo do ciúme em forma de escultor de madeira.

1And I saw there the likeness of the idol of jealousy in the form of a woodcarver.

2Tal como meu pai costumava fazer, e sua forma era de bronze reluzente.

2Such as my father used to make, and its form was of shining bronze.

3E diante dele um homem que adorava, e diante dele um altar.

3And before it a man who worshiped, and before it an altar.

4E jovens sendo abatidos sobre ele na presença do ídolo.

4And young people being slaughtered upon it in the presence of the idol.

5E eu disse: Que é este ídolo? E qual é o altar? E quem são os que estão sendo sacrificados?

5And I said: What is this idol? And what is the altar? And who are those being sacrificed?

6E o anjo disse: Este é o culto de tua descendência quando te provocará no final dos dias.

6And the angel said: This is the worship of your offspring when they will provoke you in the last days.

7Porque deixaram minha lei e seguiram outros deuses.

7Because they have left my law and followed other gods.

8Por isso a ira os alcançará como os alcançou no passado.

8Therefore wrath will overtake them as it overtook them in the past.
