1E o anjo disse: Aqui está o trono de glória.

1And the angel said: Here is the throne of glory.

2E lhe oferecerás um sacrifício de louvor.

2And you shall offer him a sacrifice of praise.

3E permanecerás comigo até que o Eterno te revele o que há de vir.

3And you shall remain with me until the Eternal reveals to you what is to come.

4E eu permaneci ali quarenta dias e quarenta noites.

4And I remained there forty days and forty nights.

5Sem pão e sem água, pois minha comida era ver o anjo que estava comigo.

5Without bread and without water, for my food was to see the angel who was with me.

6E sua conversa comigo era minha bebida.

6And his conversation with me was my drink.

7E no fim dos quarenta dias vi visões.

7And at the end of forty days I saw visions.

8E o Eterno abriu os céus diante de mim.

8And the Eternal opened the heavens before me.
