1Contudo, Noé pregava reiteradamente aos filhos de Caim, dizendo: O dilúvio virá e vos destruirá, se não vos arrependerdes.

1Yet Noah preached repeatedly to the children of Cain, saying, "The flood will come and destroy you, if we do not repent."

2Eles, porém, não lhe davam ouvidos; apenas escarneciam dele.

2Yet they would not hearken to him; they only laughed at him.

3Quando os filhos de Sete desceram da Montanha Sagrada, e habitaram com os filhos de Caim, e se contaminaram com as suas abominações, nasceram-lhes filhos chamados Garsina, que eram gigantes, homens valorosos e poderosos, tais que nenhum outro gigante se lhes igualava em força.

3When the children of Seth went down from the Holy Mountain, and dwelt with the children of Cain, and defiled themselves with their abominations, there were born unto them children called Garsina, who were giants, mighty men of valour, such as no other giants were of equal might.

4Certos sábios da antiguidade escreveram a respeito deles, e dizem nos seus livros sagrados que anjos desceram do céu e se uniram às filhas de Caim, as quais lhes deram à luz esses gigantes.

4Certain wise men of old wrote concerning them, and say in their sacred books, that angels came down from heaven, and mingled with the daughters of Cain, who bare unto them these giants.

5Erram, contudo, esses sábios no que afirmam.

5Yet those wise men err in what they say.

6Longe esteja de Deus tal coisa, que espíritos angelicais fossem achados cometendo pecado com seres humanos.

6God forbid such a thing, that angelic spirits, should be found committing sin with human beings.

7Jamais; isso não pode ser.

7Never; that cannot be.

8E se tal coisa fosse da natureza dos anjos, ou dos demônios que caíram, eles não deixariam uma só mulher sobre a terra sem corrupção.

8And if such a thing were of the nature of angels, or Satans, that fell, they would not leave one woman on earth, undefiled.

9Pois os demônios são extremamente perversos e infames.

9For Satans are very wicked and infamous.

10Ademais, eles não são macho e fêmea por natureza; antes são espíritos sutis e diminutos, que se tornaram tenebrosos desde que transgrediram.

10Moreover, they are not male and female by nature; yet they are small, subtle spirits, that have been black ever since they transgressed.

11Contudo, muitos homens dizem que anjos desceram do céu, e se ajuntaram a mulheres, e tiveram filhos delas.

11Yet many men say, that angels came down from heaven, and joined themselves to women, and had children by them.

12Isto não pode ser verdade.

12This cannot be true.

13Eram, em verdade, os filhos de Sete, que descendiam de Adão, os quais habitavam na montanha, no alto e retirados,

13Yet they were children of Seth, who were of the children of Adam, that dwelt on the mountain, high up or suspended,

14enquanto preservavam a sua pureza, a sua inocência e a sua glória semelhante à dos anjos; e eram então chamados 'anjos de Deus'.

14while they preserved their virginity, their innocence, and their glory like angels; and were then called " angels of God."

15Mas quando transgrediram e se misturaram com os filhos de Caim, e geraram filhos, homens mal informados disseram que anjos haviam descido do céu e se misturado com filhas de homens, as quais lhes pariram gigantes.

15Yet when they transgressed and mingled with the children of Cain, and begat children, ill-informed men said, that angels had come down from heaven, and mingled with daughters of men, who bare them giants.
