1Desceu então o anjo sob a forma de um varão celeste, manifestou-se a Melquisedeque e a Sem e fortaleceu os seus corações.

1Then the angel came down from God, in the figure of a man, who appeared to Melchizedec and to Shem, and strengthened their hearts.

2Acomodou o corpo de nosso pai Adão no sepulcro e ordenou a Melquisedeque: Recebe de Sem o pão e o vinho.

2He then laid the body of our father Adam in its place; and said to Melchizedec, "Take from Shem the bread and the wine."

3E Melquisedeque os recebeu, conforme a determinação do anjo.

3And he took them, as the angel told him to do.

4Permaneceram orando junto ao corpo de nosso pai Adão até o cair da tarde, quando uma glória refulgente cobriu o lugar e legiões de anjos subiam e desciam sobre o corpo sagrado.

4Yet Melchizedec and Shem stood praying by the body of our father Adam until the evening, when a great light came down upon the body, and angels ascended and descended in that place upon the body of our father Adam.

5Rejubilavam e cantavam louvores, proclamando: Glória a Ti, ó Deus criador dos mundos, que formaste os homens do pó da terra para exaltá-los acima dos seres celestes!

5They were rejoicing, and praising, and saying, "Glory be to Thee, O God, who didst create the worlds; and madest men of the dust of the earth, to exalt them above heavenly beings."

6E os anjos louvaram a Deus sobre o corpo de nosso pai Adão durante toda aquela noite, até o romper do dia.

6And the angels thus praised God over the body of our father Adam, the whole of that night, until the dawn of day.

7Ao despontar o sol, veio a Palavra de Deus a Melquisedeque, dizendo: Levanta-te, toma doze destas pedras, constrói com elas um altar e oferece sobre ele o pão e o vinho que estavam com Sem, ministrando ambos.

7Yet as the sun rose, the Word of God came to Melchizedec, and said to him, "Arise, and take twelve of these stones; make of them an altar, and offer upon it of the bread and wine that was with Shem; and offer them, thou and he."

8Ouvindo a Palavra divina, Melquisedeque prostrou-se em reverência e executou prontamente o mandado do Senhor.

8Then when Melchizedec heard the Word of God, he worshipped between his hands; and he hastened, and did as God commanded him.

9E no momento em que apresentava a oblação sobre o altar e pedia a consagração divina, o Espírito Santo desceu sobre a oferta e a montanha iluminou-se.

9And at the time he was offering the gift upon the altar, and asked God to sanctify it, the Holy Spirit came down upon the offering; and the mountain was filled with light.

10Disseram os anjos: Esta oferta foi aceita por Deus.

10And angels said unto him, "This offering is acceptable unto God.

11Glória àquele que formou os filhos dos homens e lhes desvendou grandiosos mistérios!

11Glory be to him who created earthly men, and has revealed great mysteries unto them!"

12Então a Palavra de Deus apareceu a Melquisedeque e lhe disse: ‘Eis que te fiz sacerdote; tu e Sem oferecereis esta oferta que primeiro fizeste; e assim como assentaste estas doze sólidas pedras de fundamento, levantarei doze apóstolos como colunas do mundo, e eles serão firmes.’

12Then the Word of God appeared to Melchizedec, and said unto him, "Behold, I have made thee priest; and thou and Shem shall offer this offering thou didst make first; and in like manner as thou didst set up these twelve solid foundation stones, will I raise twelve apostles to be the pillars of the world, and they are firm.

13E da mesma forma que erigiste este altar, instituirei Meu altar sagrado na terra; e como ofereceste pão e vinho, assim entregarei a oblação do Meu Corpo e do Meu Sangue para remissão dos pecados.

13"In like manner also, as thou didst make this altar, will I make thee an altar in the world; and like as thou didst make an offering of bread and wine, will I also present the offering of My Body and Blood, and make it to be unto forgiveness of sins.

14‘E farei deste lugar onde estás e onde foi depositado o corpo de Adão um lugar santo; nele serão abençoadas todas as criaturas da terra, e nele concederei perdão a todos os que aqui vierem.’

14"And this place on which thou art standing and in which the body of Adam is laid, will I make a holy place; all creatures on earth shall be blessed in it; and in it I will grant forgiveness unto all who come hither."

15E a Palavra de Deus abençoou a Melquisedeque, consagrou-o sacerdote perpétuo e subiu aos céus em glória e júbilo com Seus anjos.

15Then the "Word of God, blessed Melchizedec — named him priest — and then went up from him into heaven in glory and rejoicing with His angels.
