3 Adão e Eva 18

1Foi então o anjo ter com Sem, filho de Noé, e ordenou-lhe: Levanta-te e toma o corpo de Adão conforme a determinação de teu pai;

1Then the angel went to Shem the son of Noah and said into him, "Arise, and take the body of Adam, as thy father Noah gave thee commandment;

2leva contigo a Melquisedeque e parti sem demora para o lugar ordenado por Deus.

2and take with thee Melchizedec and go with them to the place ordered by God; and tarry not."

3Ao amanhecer, Sem preparou uma arca formosa e ocultou-a junto à grande arca.

3When it was day, Shem made a beautiful case and hid it close to the ark.

4Aparelhou pão, vinho e provisões, foi à casa de Cainã e solicitou a presença de Melquisedeque.

4He then prepared bread and wine and provisions, and came to Cainan; and inquired for his son Melchizedec.

5Então Cainã começou a contar-lhe tudo o que o anjo lhe dissera e lhe entregou de bom grado seu filho Melquisedeque.

5Then Cainan began to tell him all that the angel had said unto him; and he gave him up his son Melchizedec, with a good heart.

6Disse Sem a Cainã: Conserva este mistério em segredo absoluto.

6Then Shem said to Cainan, "Keep this mystery secret, and reveal it to no one."

7Então Sem levou Melquisedeque; os dois prepararam um jumento e foram até a arca.

7Then Shem took Melchizedec and they saddled an ass between them, and they went to the ark.

8Não possuíam chave para abri-la, pois Noé a fechara com ferrolhos ao sair dela.

8But they had no key wherewith to open the ark; for Noah had fastened it with a padlock, after he had come out of it.

9Aproximando-se, puseram-se a cogitar como poderiam franqueá-la.

9When, therefore, they came to the ark, they bethought themselves how to open it.

10Achegou-se Sem à entrada e clamou a Melquisedeque que a abrisse pelo poder do grande Deus.

10Then came Shem to the door, and said to Melchizedec, "Come, open it, O thou great God."

11Então Melquisedeque chegou à porta quando ouviu a voz de Sem, segurou o cadeado, e imediatamente a porta se abriu.

11Then came Melchizedec to the door when he heard Shem's voice, and seized the padlock; and at once the door was opened.

12Mas uma voz clamou de dentro da arca: ‘Alegra-te, ó sacerdote do Deus Altíssimo, pois foste considerado digno de assumir o sacerdócio de Deus, o primeiro criado por Ele no mundo.’

12Yet a voice cried from within the ark, and said, "Rejoice, O thou priest of the Most High God, for that thou hast been found meet to enter upon the office of priest of God; the first created by Him in the world."

13Esta voz procedia do Espírito Santo.

13This voice was from the Holy Spirit.

14Reconheceu Melquisedeque a voz pelo sopro de vida que sentiu na face e pela copiosa graça que nele habitava.

14And Melchizedec knew that voice when it breathed into his face; he knew it also through great grace that was in him.

15Então ele se maravilhou e disse a Sem: ‘Ó meu senhor, sei disso pelo sopro em meu rosto, embora não tenha visto forma alguma nem ouvido voz que me falasse; pois não vi ninguém.’

15He then marvelled, and said to Shem, "O my Lord, I know by the breathing in my face, though I saw no form, and heard no voice speaking to me; for I saw no one.

16Esta voz misteriosa promana do corpo de nosso pai Adão.

16This voice is from the body of our father Adam."

17Sem tremia, sem saber o que responder.

17And Shem remained trembling, not knowing what to say to him.

18Enquanto pasmavam ante a porta, desceu a Palavra do Senhor, dizendo: Fui Eu quem te ungiu sacerdote e insuflou do Meu Espírito em ti.

18Yet while they were wondering at the door of the ark, the Word of God came, that said, "I am He that made thee priest and that breathed of My Spirit into thee.

19Tu és o Meu sacerdote justo, digno de carregar o corpo de Adão, a quem criei e conferi vida espiritual.

19Thou art My righteous priest; and thou art worthy to bear the body of Adam whom I created, and into whom I breathed of My Spirit.

20Eu o constituí rei, sacerdote e profeta no princípio.

20And I made him priest and a king, and a prophet.

21Entra primeiro e traz para fora o seu corpo venerando.

21Go in first, and bring out his body."

22Entrou Melquisedeque na arca e prostrou-se reverente diante do corpo de nosso pai Adão;

22Then Melchizedec went into the ark, and bowed in worship to the body of our father Adam;

23abençoou-se nele e retirou-o da arca, amparado pelo arcanjo Miguel.

23he blessed himself in it, and brought it out; the angel Michael, helping him the while to carry it.

24Entrou também Sem e recolheu o ouro, o incenso e a mirra, depositando tudo na caixa lavrada juntamente com o corpo de Adão, fechando-a em seguida.

24And Shem went in also, and brought out the gold, the incense and the myrrh, and laid them together with the body of our father Adam; he then placed the body within the case, and shut it upon the body.

25E tornaram a cerrar a porta da arca, deixando-a como estava no princípio.

25And then he shut the door of the ark, as it was at first.
