3 Adão e Eva 16

1Findo o luto por Noé, um anjo do Senhor apareceu a Cainã, pai de Melquisedeque, e disse-lhe em visão: Conheces-me?

1After they had ended mourning for Noah, an angel of God appeared unto Cainan the father of Melchizedec, and said unto him in a vision, "Knowest thou me?”

2Respondeu Cainã: Não, meu Senhor.

2And Cainan answered, "No, my Lord.''

3Disse-lhe então o anjo: Sou o enviado de Deus incumbido de te transmitir este mandamento.

3Then the angel said to him, "I am the angel whom God has sent unto thee, to give thee this commandment.

4Não transgridais a ordem do Senhor.

4And transgress not the command of God."

5Quando Cainã ouviu isso do anjo de Deus, maravilhou-se e lhe disse: ‘Fala, ó meu senhor!’

5When Cainan heard this from the angel of God, he wondered and said unto him, "Speak, O my Lord!"

6E o anjo declarou-lhe: Sou o anjo que trouxe ouro a teu pai Adão quando habitava ao sopé do jardim;

6And the angel of God said unto him, "I am the angel who brought gold to thy father Adam, when he was below the garden;

7sou o anjo que orou a Deus juntamente com Adão quando ele ofereceu o próprio sangue sobre o altar.

7I am the angel who prayed to God together with Adam, when he offered his own blood upon the altar.

8Sou Miguel, o arcanjo que recolheu a alma do justo Abel;

8I am Michael the angel who received the soul of Abel the just;

9sou o anjo que esteve com Sete quando nasceu na caverna;

9I am the angel who was with Seth when he was born in the cave.

10sou o anjo que acompanhou Enos, Cainã, Maalalel, Jarede, Enoque, Matusalém, Lameque e Noé.

10I am the angel who was with Enos and Cainan, and Mahalaleel and Jared and Enoch, and Methuselah and Lamech, and with Noah.

11E desde o falecimento de Noé, assisto ao seu primogênito Sem.

11Yet since he entered into rest, I stand by his first-born son Shem.

12Eis que Deus me enviou a ti para tomar o teu filho Melquisedeque e conduzi-lo à terra onde repousará o corpo de nosso pai Adão, para que seja grandemente exaltado perante Deus.

12And, behold, God has sent me to thee, to take thy son Melchizedec, and to remove him to the land, in which God shall lay the body of our father Adam, and that he may be high exalted before God.

13Não se entristeça o teu coração por causa da sua partida.

13Let not thy heart be grieved at his going away:"

14Quando Cainã ouviu essas palavras do anjo, prostrou-se diante dele em adoração e lhe disse:

14When Cainan heard these words from the angel, he worshipped before him; and said unto him,

15Cumpra-se a soberana vontade de Deus!

15"Let the will of God be done!

16Eis que eu e meu filho estamos nas Suas mãos.

16Behold, I and my son are in His hands.

17Faça Ele o que Lhe aprouver.

17Let Him do what He pleases."

18Este anjo apareceu a Cainã não pelos méritos dele, mas por amor a Melquisedeque e à sua retidão e pureza.

18This angel appeared unto Cainan, not on account of Cainan's righteousness and purity, yet on account of Melchizedec, and of his righteousness and purity.

19Disse ainda o anjo a Cainã: Não reveles este mistério a ninguém, exceto unicamente a Sem.

19Then the angel said unto Cainan, "Commit not this mystery to any one but to Shem alone."

20E o anjo retirou-se da sua presença.

20And the angel departed from him.
