1Então Seth, o justo, chamou seu filho Enos, e Cainan, filho de Enos, e Mahalaleel, filho de Cainan, e disse-lhes: -

1Then Seth, the just, called his son Enos, and Cainan, son of Enos, and Mahalaleel, son of Cainan, and said unto them:-

2"Como meu fim está próximo, desejo construir um telhado sobre o altar onde as ofertas sejam oferecidas."

2"As my end is near, I wish to build a roof over the altar on which gifts are offered."

3Eles obedeceram ao seu mandamento e saíram, todos eles, tanto velhos como jovens, e trabalharam arduamente para isso, e construíram um lindo telhado sobre o altar.

3They hearkened to his commandment and went out, all of them, both old and young, and worked hard at it, and built a beautiful roof over the altar.

4E o pensamento de Seth, ao fazê-lo, era que uma bênção viesse sobre seus filhos na montanha; e que ele deveria apresentar uma oferta por eles antes de sua morte.

4And Seth's thought, in so doing, was that a blessing should come upon his children on the mountain; and that he should present an offering for them before his death.

5Então, quando a construção do telhado foi concluída, ele ordenou que fizessem oferendas. Eles trabalharam diligentemente nisso e os trouxeram para Seth, seu pai, que os pegou e os ofereceu sobre o altar; e orou a Deus para aceitar suas ofertas, ter misericórdia das almas de seus filhos e protegê-los das mãos de Satanás.

5Then when the building of the roof was completed, he commanded them to make offerings. They worked diligently at these, and brought them to Seth their father who took them and offered them upon the altar; and prayed God to accept their offerings, to have mercy on the souls of his children, and to keep them from the hand of Satan.

6E Deus aceitou sua oferta e enviou Sua bênção sobre ele e seus filhos. E então Deus fez uma promessa a Sete, dizendo: “No final dos grandes cinco dias e meio, a respeito dos quais fiz uma promessa a ti e a teu pai, enviarei Minha Palavra e salvarei a ti e a tua semente”.

6And God accepted his offering, and sent His blessing upon him and upon his children. And then God made a promise to Seth, saying, "At the end of the great five days and a half, concerning which I have made a promise to thee and to thy father, I will send My Word and save thee and thy seed."

7Então Seth e seus filhos, e os filhos de seus filhos, se reuniram, e desceram do altar, e foram para a Caverna dos Tesouros – onde oraram, e se abençoaram no corpo de nosso pai Adão, e se ungiram com ele.

7Then Seth and his children, and his children's children, met together, and came down from the altar, and went to the Cave of Treasures - where they prayed, and blessed themselves in the body of our father Adam, and anointed themselves with it.

8Mas Seth permaneceu na Caverna dos Tesouros por alguns dias, e então sofreu sofrimentos até a morte.

8But Seth abode in the Cave of Treasures, a few days, and then suffered sufferings unto death.

9Então Enos, seu filho primogênito, veio até ele, com Cainan, seu filho, e Mahalaleel, filho de Cainan, e Jared, filho de Mahalaleel, e Enoque, filho de Jared, com suas esposas e filhos para receber uma bênção de Seth.

9Then Enos, his first - born son, came to him, with Cainan, his son, and Mahalaleel, Cainan's son, and Jared, the son of Mahalaleel, and Enoch, Jared's son, with their wives and children to receive a blessing from Seth.

10Então Seth orou por eles, e os abençoou, e os conjurou pelo sangue de Abel, o justo, dizendo: "Eu imploro a vocês, meus filhos, que não deixem nenhum de vocês descer desta Santa e pura Montanha.

10Then Seth prayed over them, and blessed them, and adjured them by the blood of Abel the just, saying, "I beg of you my children, not to let one of you go down from this Holy and pure Mountain.

11Não tenhais comunhão com os filhos de Caim, o assassino e o pecador, que matou seu irmão; pois vós sabeis, ó meus filhos, que fugimos dele e de todos os seus pecados com todas as nossas forças porque ele matou seu irmão Abel.

11Make no fellowship with the children of Cain the murderer and the sinner, who killed his brother; for ye know, 0 my children, that we flee from him, and from all his sin with all our might because he killed his brother Abel."

12Depois de ter dito isso, Seth abençoou Enos, seu filho primogênito, e ordenou-lhe que ministrasse habitualmente em pureza diante do corpo de nosso pai Adão, todos os dias de sua vida; depois, também, ir às vezes ao altar que Seth havia construído. E ele ordenou que ele alimentasse seu povo com justiça, julgamento e pureza todos os dias de sua vida.

12After having said this, Seth blessed Enos, his first - born son, and commanded him habitually to minister in purity before the body of our father Adam, all the days of his life; then, also, to go at times to the altar which he Seth had built. And he commanded him to feed his people in righteousness, in judgment and purity all the days of his life.

13Então os membros de Seth foram afrouxados; suas mãos e pés perderam todo o poder; sua boca ficou muda e incapaz de falar; e ele entregou o fantasma e morreu no dia seguinte ao seu novecentos e doze anos; no vigésimo sétimo dia do mês de Abib; Enoque tinha então vinte anos.

13Then the limbs of Seth were loosened; his hands and feet lost all power; his mouth became dumb and unable to speak; and he gave up the ghost and died the day after his nine hundred and twelfth year; on the twenty-seventh day of the month Abib; Enoch being then twenty years old.

14Então eles enrolaram cuidadosamente o corpo de Seth, e o embalsamaram com especiarias doces, e o colocaram na Caverna dos Tesouros, no lado direito do corpo de nosso pai Adão, e lamentaram por ele quarenta dias. Eles ofereceram presentes para ele, como haviam feito para nosso pai Adão.

14Then they wound up carefull the body of Seth, and embalmed him with sweet spices, and laid him in the Cave Treasures, on the right side of our father Adam's body, and they mourned for him forty days. They offered gifts for him, as they had done for our father Adam.

15Após a morte de Sete, Enos ascendeu à frente de seu povo, a quem ele alimentou com justiça e julgamento, como seu pai lhe havia ordenado.

15After the death of Seth, Enos rose at the head of his people, whom he fed in righteousness, and judgment, as his father had commanded him.

16Mas quando Enos tinha oitocentos e vinte anos, Caim já tinha uma grande descendência; pois casavam-se frequentemente, sendo dados a concupiscências animais; até que a terra abaixo da montanha ficou cheia deles.

16But by the time Enos was eight hundred and twenty years old, Cain had a large progeny; for they married frequently, being given to animal lusts; until the land below the mountain, was filled with them.
