1Quando nosso pai Adão e Eva saíram do jardim, palmilharam o chão com seus pés sem saber por onde caminhavam.

1When our father Adam and Eve went out of the garden, they trod the ground with their feet not knowing where they walked.

2Quando chegaram à abertura dos portões do jardim e viram a terra vasta, coberta de pedras, tiveram medo e tremeram.

2When they came to the opening of the gates of the garden and saw the vast earth, covered with stones, they were afraid and trembled.

3Eles prostraram-se com suas faces no chão, acometidos pelo medo, e jaziam como mortos.

3They prostrated themselves with their faces on the ground, overcome with fear, and lay as if dead.

4Porque haviam estado na terra do jardim, belamente plantada, e agora se viam numa terra estranha.

4Because they had been in the land of the garden, beautifully planted, and now found themselves in a strange land.

5Naquele tempo eram cheios de graça e de uma natureza luminosa.

5At that time they were full of grace and of a luminous nature.

6Deus teve piedade deles quando os viu caídos defronte ao portão do jardim.

6God had pity on them when he saw them fallen before the gate of the garden.

7Ele enviou Sua Palavra ao pai Adão e a Eva e ergueu-os de sua prostração.

7He sent His Word to father Adam and to Eve and raised them from their prostration.
