1 Adão e Eva 14

1Então disse Adão a Deus: "Ó Senhor, toma a minha alma, e não me deixes ver mais esta escuridão; ou remove-me para algum lugar onde não haja trevas."

1Then Adam said to God: "O Lord, take You my soul, and let me not see this gloom any more; or remove me to some place where there is no darkness."

2Porém o Senhor Deus disse a Adão: "Em verdade te digo que estas trevas se afastarão de ti em cada dia que determinei para ti, até o cumprimento da Minha aliança; quando Eu te salvarei e te trarei de volta ao jardim, à morada de luz pela qual suspiras, na qual não há trevas. Eu te levarei a ela — no reino dos céus."

2But God the Lord said to Adam, "Indeed I say to you, this darkness will pass from you, every day I have determined for you, until the fulfillment of My covenant; when I will save you and bring you back again into the garden, into the house of light you long for, in which there is no darkness. I will bring you to it—in the kingdom of heaven."

3Disse mais Deus a Adão: "Toda esta miséria que foste obrigado a tomar sobre ti por causa de tua transgressão, não te livrará da mão de Satanás, e não te salvará.

3Again said God to Adam, "All this misery that you have been made to take on yourself because of your transgression, will not free you from the hand of Satan, and will not save you.

4Mas Eu o farei. Quando Eu descer do céu, e Me fizer carne dentre a tua descendência, e tomar sobre Mim a enfermidade de que padeces, então as trevas que te cobriram nesta caverna Me cobrirão na sepultura, quando Eu estiver na carne da tua semente.

4But I will. When I shall come down from heaven, and shall become flesh of your descendants, and take on Myself the infirmity from which you suffer, then the darkness that covered you in this cave shall cover Me in the grave, when I am in the flesh of your descendants.

5E Eu, que sou sem anos, ficarei sujeito à conta dos anos, dos tempos, dos meses e dos dias, e serei contado como um dos filhos dos homens, a fim de te salvar."

5And I, who am without years, shall be subject to the reckoning of years, of times, of months, and of days, and I shall be reckoned as one of the sons of men, in order to save you."

6E cessou Deus de falar com Adão.

6And God ceased to commune with Adam.
