4 Esdras 5

1Sobre os sinais: eis que virão dias em que os habitantes da terra serão tomados de grande pânico, e o caminho da verdade estará oculto.

1About the signs: behold, days will come when the inhabitants of the earth will be seized with great panic, and the way of truth will be hidden.

2E a terra ficará estéril de fé, e a iniquidade aumentará além do que tu vês ou do que teus pais ouviram.

2And the land will be barren of faith, and iniquity will increase beyond what you see or what your fathers heard.

3E a terra que agora vês reinando será um deserto intransitável, e os homens a verão abandonada.

3And the land that you now see reigning will be an impassable wilderness, and men will see it abandoned.

4Mas se o Altíssimo te conceder viver, verás depois do terceiro período tudo em confusão.

4But if the Most High grants you to live, you will see after the third period everything in confusion.

5O sol brilhará de repente à noite, e a lua durante o dia.

5The sun will suddenly shine at night, and the moon during the day.

6Das árvores escorrerá sangue, e a pedra dará sua voz.

6From the trees blood will drip, and the stone will give its voice.

7Os povos ficarão perturbados, e as estralas cairão.

7The peoples will be disturbed, and the stars will fall.

8E reinará aquele a quem os habitantes da terra não esperam, e os pássaros emigrarão juntos.

8And one will reign whom the inhabitants of the earth do not expect, and the birds will migrate together.

9O mar de Sodoma lançará peixes, e fará ouvir de noite uma voz desconhecida a muitos; mas todos ouvirão seu som.

9The sea of Sodom will cast up fish, and will make heard at night a voice unknown to many; but all will hear its sound.

10Haverá confusão em muitos lugares, e o fogo será frequentemente enviado do céu; os animais selvagens emigrarão, e as mulheres darão à luz monstros.

10There will be confusion in many places, and fire will frequently be sent from heaven; the wild animals will migrate, and women will give birth to monsters.
