4 Esdras 15

1Eis que fala em voz alta aos ouvidos do meu povo as palavras da profecia que porei em tua boca, diz o Senhor.

1Behold, speak aloud in the ears of my people the words of the prophecy that I will put in your mouth, says the Lord.

2E faz com que sejam escritas em papel, porque são fiéis e verdadeiras.

2And see that they are written on paper, for they are faithful and true.

3Não temas as maquinações contra ti, não te perturbes com a incredulidade dos que falam contra ti.

3Do not fear the plots against you, do not be troubled by the unbelief of those who speak against you.

4Pois todo incrédulo morrerá em sua incredulidade.

4For every unbeliever will die in his unbelief.

5Eis que, diz o Senhor, trarei males sobre o círculo da terra: espada, fome, morte e destruição.

5Behold, says the Lord, I will bring evils upon the circle of the earth: sword, famine, death and destruction.

6Porque a impiedade se espalhou por toda a terra, e suas obras nocivas atingiram o limite.

6Because impiety has spread over all the earth, and its harmful works have reached their limit.

7Por isso, diz o Senhor, não me calarei mais sobre suas impiedades que cometem irreverentemente.

7Therefore, says the Lord, I will no longer be silent about their impieties which they commit irreverently.

8Nem tolerarei nelas praticarem injustiça. Eis que o sangue inocente e justo clama a mim, e as almas dos justos clamam continuamente.

8Nor will I tolerate in them the practice of injustice. Behold, innocent and righteous blood cries out to me, and the souls of the righteous cry continually.

9Certamente os vingarei, diz o Senhor, e tomarei para mim todo o sangue inocente dentre eles.

9Surely I will avenge them, says the Lord, and I will take for myself all the innocent blood from among them.

10Eis que meu povo é conduzido ao matadouro como um rebanho. Não permitirei mais que eles habitem na terra do Egito.

10Behold, my people is led to the slaughter like a flock. I will no longer allow them to dwell in the land of Egypt.
