1E eu disse: E onde começa o sol o seu trabalho, depois que o galo canta?

1And I said, And where does the sun begin its labors, after the cock crows?

2E o anjo me disse: Ouça, Baruque: Todas as coisas que eu te mostrei estão no primeiro e no segundo céu, e no terceiro céu o sol passa e dá luz ao mundo.

2And the angel said to me, Listen, Baruch: All things whatsoever I showed thee are in the first and second heaven, and in the third heaven the sun passes through and gives light to the world.

3Mas espere, e você verá a glória de Deus. E enquanto eu conversava com ele, vi o pássaro, e ele apareceu na frente, e cresceu cada vez menos, e finalmente voltou ao seu tamanho normal.

3But wait, and thou shalt see the glory of God. And while I was conversing with him, I saw the bird, and he appeared in front, and grew less and less, and at length returned to his full size.

4E atrás dele eu vi o sol brilhante, e os anjos que o desenham, e uma coroa em sua conta, cuja visão não fomos capazes de contemplar e contemplar.

4And behind him I saw the shining sun, and the angels which draw it, and a crown upon its bead, the sight of which we were not able to gaze Upon, and behold.

5E assim que o sol brilhou, a Fênix também estendeu as asas.

5And as soon as the sun shone, the Phoenix also stretched out his wings.

6Mas eu, quando contemplei tamanha glória, fui abatido por grande medo e fugi e me escondi nas asas do anjo. E o anjo me disse: Não temas, Baruque, mas espera e verás também o seu cenário.

6But I, when I beheld such great glory, was brought low with great fear, and I fled and hid in the wings of the angel. And the angel said to me, Fear not, Baruch, but wait and thou shalt also see their setting.
