2 Timóteo 3

1Sabe, porém, isto: que nos últimos dias sobrevirão tempos trabalhosos.

1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2Porque haverá homens amantes de si mesmos, avarentos, presunçosos, soberbos, blasfemos, desobedientes a pais e mães, ingratos, profanos,

2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3Sem afeto natural, irreconciliáveis, caluniadores, incontinentes, cruéis, sem amor para com os bons,

3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, {false...: or, one who foments strife}

4Traidores, obstinados, orgulhosos, mais amigos dos deleites do que amigos de Deus,

4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5Tendo aparência de piedade, mas negando a eficácia dela. Destes afasta-te.

5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6Porque deste número são os que se introduzem pelas casas, e levam cativas mulheres néscias carregadas de pecados, levadas de várias concupiscências;

6For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7Que aprendem sempre, e nunca podem chegar ao conhecimento da verdade.

7Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8E, como Janes e Jambres resistiram a Moisés, assim também estes resistem à verdade, sendo homens corruptos de entendimento e réprobos quanto à fé.

8Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. {reprobate: or, of no judgment}

9Não irão, porém, avante; porque a todos será manifesto o seu desvario, como também o foi o daqueles.

9But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all {men}, as theirs also was.

10Tu, porém, tens seguido a minha doutrina, modo de viver, intenção, fé, longanimidade, amor, paciência,

10But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, {fully...: or, been a diligent follower of}

11Perseguições e aflições tais quais me aconteceram em Antioquia, em Icônio, e em Listra; quantas perseguições sofri, e o Senhor de todas me livrou;

11Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of {them} all the Lord delivered me.

12E também todos os que piamente querem viver em Cristo Jesus padecerão perseguições.

12Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

13Mas os homens maus e enganadores irão de mal para pior, enganando e sendo enganados.

13But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14Tu, porém, permanece naquilo que aprendeste, e de que foste inteirado, sabendo de quem o tens aprendido,

14But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned {them};

15E que desde a tua meninice sabes as sagradas Escrituras, que podem fazer-te sábio para a salvação, pela fé que há em Cristo Jesus.

15And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16Toda a Escritura é divinamente inspirada, e proveitosa para ensinar, para redargüir, para corrigir, para instruir em justiça;

16All scripture {is} given by inspiration of God, and {is} profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17Para que o homem de Deus seja perfeito, e perfeitamente instruído para toda a boa obra.

17That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. {throughly...: or, perfected}
