2 Samuel 22

1E Falou Davi ao SENHOR as palavras deste cântico, no dia em que o SENHOR o livrou das mãos de todos os seus inimigos e das mãos de Saul.

1And David spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day {that} the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:

2Disse pois: O Senhor é o meu rochedo, e o meu lugar forte, e o meu libertador.

2And he said, The LORD {is} my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;

3Deus é o meu rochedo, nele confiarei; o meu escudo, e a força da minha salvação, o meu alto retiro, e o meu refúgio. Ó meu Salvador, da violência me salvas.

3The God of my rock; in him will I trust: {he is} my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

4O Senhor, digno de louvor, invocarei, e de meus inimigos ficarei livre,

4I will call on the LORD, {who is} worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

5Porque me cercaram as ondas de morte; as torrentes dos homens ímpios me assombraram.

5When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid; {waves: or, pangs} {ungodly...: Heb. Belial}

6Cordas do inferno me cingiram; encontraram-me laços de morte.

6The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me; {sorrows: or, cords}

7Estando em angústia, invoquei ao Senhor, e a meu Deus clamei; do seu templo ouviu ele a minha voz, e o meu clamor chegou aos seus ouvidos.

7In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry {did enter} into his ears.

8Então se abalou e tremeu a terra, os fundamentos dos céus se moveram e abalaram, porque ele se irou.

8Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of heaven moved and shook, because he was wroth.

9Subiu fumaça de suas narinas, e da sua boca um fogo devorador; carvões se incenderam dele.

9There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it. {out of his nostrils: Heb. by, etc}

10E abaixou os céus, e desceu; e uma escuridão havia debaixo de seus pés.

10He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and darkness {was} under his feet.

11E subiu sobre um querubim, e voou; e foi visto sobre as asas do vento.

11And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.

12E por tendas pôs as trevas ao redor de si; ajuntamento de águas, nuvens dos céus.

12And he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, {and} thick clouds of the skies. {dark...: Heb. binding of waters}

13Pelo resplendor da sua presença brasas de fogo se acenderam.

13Through the brightness before him were coals of fire kindled.

14Trovejou desde os céus o Senhor; e o Altíssimo fez soar a sua voz.

14The LORD thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice.

15E disparou flechas, e os dissipou; raios, e os perturbou.

15And he sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and discomfited them.

16E apareceram as profundezas do mar, e os fundamentos do mundo se descobriram; pela repreensão do Senhor, pelo sopro do vento das suas narinas.

16And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuking of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.

17Desde o alto enviou, e me tomou; tirou-me das muitas águas.

17He sent from above, he took me; he drew me out of many waters; {many: or, great}

18Livrou-me do meu poderoso inimigo, e daqueles que me tinham ódio, porque eram mais fortes do que eu.

18He delivered me from my strong enemy, {and} from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me.

19Encontraram-me no dia da minha calamidade; porém o Senhor se fez o meu amparo.

19They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.

20E tirou-me para um lugar espaçoso, e livrou-me, porque tinha prazer em mim.

20He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me.

21Recompensou-me o Senhor conforme a minha justiça; conforme a pureza de minhas mãos me retribuiu.

21The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

22Porque guardei os caminhos do Senhor; e não me apartei impiamente do meu Deus.

22For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

23Porque todos os seus juízos estavam diante de mim; e de seus estatutos não me desviei.

23For all his judgments {were} before me: and {as for} his statutes, I did not depart from them.

24Porém fui sincero perante ele; e guardei-me da minha iniqüidade.

24I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from mine iniquity. {before: Heb. to}

25E me retribuiu o Senhor conforme a minha justiça, conforme a minha pureza diante dos seus olhos.

25Therefore the LORD hath recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight. {in...: Heb. before his eyes}

26Com o benigno te mostras benigno; com o homem íntegro te mostras perfeito.

26With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful, {and} with the upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright.

27Com o puro te mostras puro; mas com o perverso te mostras rígido.

27With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself unsavoury. {shew thyself unsavoury: or, wrestle}

28E o povo aflito livras; mas teus olhos são contra os altivos, e tu os abaterás.

28And the afflicted people thou wilt save: but thine eyes {are} upon the haughty, {that} thou mayest bring {them} down.

29Porque tu, Senhor, és a minha lâmpada; e o Senhor ilumina as minhas trevas.

29For thou {art} my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness. {lamp: or, candle}

30Porque contigo passo pelo meio de um esquadrão; pelo meu Deus salto um muro.

30For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall. {run: or, broken}

31O caminho de Deus é perfeito, e a palavra do Senhor refinada; e é o escudo de todos os que nele confiam.

31{As for} God, his way {is} perfect; the word of the LORD {is} tried: he {is} a buckler to all them that trust in him. {tried: or, refined}

32Por que, quem é Deus, senão o Senhor? E quem é rochedo, senão o nosso Deus?

32For who {is} God, save the LORD? and who {is} a rock, save our God?

33Deus é a minha fortaleza e a minha força, e ele perfeitamente desembaraça o meu caminho.

33God {is} my strength {and} power: and he maketh my way perfect. {maketh: Heb. riddeth, or, looseth}

34Faz ele os meus pés como os das cervas, e me põe sobre as minhas alturas.

34He maketh my feet like hinds' {feet}: and setteth me upon my high places. {maketh: Heb. equalleth}

35Instrui as minhas mãos para a peleja, de maneira que um arco de cobre se quebra pelos meus braços.

35He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms. {to war: Heb. for the war}

36Também me deste o escudo da tua salvação, e pela tua brandura me vieste a engrandecer.

36Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great. {made...: Heb. multiplied me}

37Alargaste os meus passos debaixo de mim, e não vacilaram os meus artelhos.

37Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip. {feet: Heb. ankles}

38Persegui os meus inimigos, e os derrotei, e nunca me tornei até que os consumisse.

38I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them.

39E os consumi, e os atravessei, de modo que nunca mais se levantaram, mas caíram debaixo dos meus pés.

39And I have consumed them, and wounded them, that they could not arise: yea, they are fallen under my feet.

40Porque me cingiste de força para a peleja; fizeste abater-se debaixo de mim os que se levantaram contra mim,

40For thou hast girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me hast thou subdued under me. {subdued: Heb. caused to bow}

41E deste-me o pescoço de meus inimigos, daqueles que me tinham ódio, e os destruí.

41Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.

42Olharam, porém não houve libertador; sim, para o Senhor, porém não lhes respondeu.

42They looked, but {there was} none to save; {even} unto the LORD, but he answered them not.

43Então os moí como o pó da terra; como a lama das ruas os trilhei e dissipei.

43Then did I beat them as small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the street, {and} did spread them abroad.

44Também me livraste das contendas do meu povo; guardaste-me para cabeça das nações; o povo que não conhecia me servirá.

44Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, thou hast kept me {to be} head of the heathen: a people {which} I knew not shall serve me.

45Os filhos de estranhos se me sujeitaram; ouvindo a minha voz, me obedeceram.

45Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me. {Strangers: Heb. Sons of the stranger} {submit...: or, yield feigned obedience: Heb. lie}

46Os filhos de estranhos desfaleceram; e, cingindo-se, saíram dos seus esconderijos.

46Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their close places.

47Vive o Senhor, e bendito seja o meu rochedo; e exaltado seja Deus, a rocha da minha salvação,

47The LORD liveth; and blessed {be} my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.

48O Deus que me dá inteira vingança, e sujeita os povos debaixo de mim.

48It {is} God that avengeth me, and that bringeth down the people under me, {avengeth: Heb. giveth avengement for}

49E o que me tira dentre os meus inimigos; e tu me exaltas sobre os que contra mim se levantam; do homem violento me livras.

49And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies: thou also hast lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.

50Por isso, ó Senhor, te louvarei entre os gentios, e entoarei louvores ao teu nome.

50Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.

51Ele é a torre das salvações do seu rei, e usa de benignidade com o seu ungido, com Davi, e com a sua descendência para sempre.

51{He is} the tower of salvation for his king: and sheweth mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.
