1No ano vinte e sete de Jeroboão, rei de Israel, começou a reinar Azarias, filho de Amazias, rei de Judá.

1In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign. {Azariah: also called, Uzziah}

2Tinha dezesseis anos quando começou a reinar, e cinqüenta e dois anos reinou em Jerusalém; e era o nome de sua mãe Jecolias, de Jerusalém.

2Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name {was} Jecholiah of Jerusalem.

3E fez o que era reto aos olhos do Senhor, conforme tudo o que fizera Amazias, seu pai.

3And he did {that which was} right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;

4Tão-somente os altos não foram tirados; porque o povo ainda sacrificava e queimava incenso nos altos.

4Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places.

5E o Senhor feriu o rei, e ficou leproso até ao dia da sua morte; e habitou numa casa separada; porém Jotão, filho do rei, tinha o cargo da casa, julgando o povo da terra.

5And the LORD smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king's son {was} over the house, judging the people of the land.

6Ora, o mais dos atos de Azarias, e tudo o que fez, porventura não está escrito no livro das crônicas dos reis de Judá?

6And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, {are} they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

7E Azarias dormiu com seus pais e o sepultaram junto a seus pais, na cidade de Davi; e Jotão, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.

7So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.

8No ano trinta e oito de Azarias, rei de Judá, reinou Zacarias, filho de Jeroboão, sobre Israel, em Samaria, seis meses.

8In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah did Zachariah the son of Jeroboam reign over Israel in Samaria six months.

9E fez o que era mau aos olhos do Senhor, como tinham feito seus pais; nunca se apartou dos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, com que fez pecar a Israel.

9And he did {that which was} evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

10E Salum, filho de Jabes, conspirou contra ele e feriu-o diante do povo, e matou-o; e reinou em seu lugar.

10And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

11Ora, o mais dos atos de Zacarias, eis que está escrito no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel.

11And the rest of the acts of Zachariah, behold, they {are} written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

12Esta foi a palavra do Senhor, que falou a Jeú: Teus filhos, até à quarta geração, se assentarão sobre o trono de Israel. E assim foi.

12This {was} the word of the LORD which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth {generation}. And so it came to pass.

13Salum, filho de Jabes, começou a reinar no ano trinta e nove de Uzias, rei de Judá, e reinou um mês inteiro em Samaria.

13Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria. {Uzziah: Gr. Ozias} {a full...: Heb. a month of days}

14Porque Menaém, filho de Gadi, subiu de Tirza, e veio a Samaria; e feriu a Salum, filho de Jabes, em Samaria, e o matou, e reinou em seu lugar.

14For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

15Ora, o mais dos atos de Salum, e a conspiração que fez, eis que está escrito no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel.

15And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they {are} written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

16Então Menaém feriu a Tifsa, e a todos os que nela havia, como também a seus termos desde Tirza, porque não lha tinham aberto; e os feriu, pois, e a todas as mulheres grávidas fendeu pelo meio.

16Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that {were} therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not {to him}, therefore he smote {it; and} all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.

17Desde o ano trinta e nove de Azarias, rei de Judá, Menaém, filho de Gadi, começou a reinar sobre Israel, e reinou dez anos em Samaria.

17In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, {and reigned} ten years in Samaria.

18E fez o que era mau aos olhos do Senhor; todos os seus dias não se apartou dos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, com que fez pecar a Israel.

18And he did {that which was} evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

19Então veio Pul, rei da Assíria, contra a terra; e Menaém deu a Pul mil talentos de prata, para que este o ajudasse a firmar o reino na sua mão.

19{And} Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.

20E Menaém tirou este dinheiro de Israel, de todos os poderosos e ricos, para dá-lo ao rei da Assíria, de cada homem cinqüenta siclos de prata; assim voltou o rei da Assíria, e não ficou ali na terra.

20And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, {even} of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land. {exacted: Heb. caused to come forth}

21Ora, o mais dos atos de Menaém, e tudo quanto fez, porventura não está escrito no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel?

21And the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all that he did, {are} they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

22E Menaém dormiu com seus pais; e Pecaías, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.

22And Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead.

23No ano cinqüenta de Azarias, rei de Judá, começou a reinar Pecaías, filho de Menaém, sobre Israel, em Samaria, e reinou dois anos.

23In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, {and reigned} two years.

24E fez o que era mau aos olhos do Senhor; nunca se apartou dos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, com que fez pecar a Israel.

24And he did {that which was} evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

25E Peca, filho de Remalias, seu capitão, conspirou contra ele, e o feriu em Samaria, no paço da casa do rei, juntamente com Argobe e com Arié, e com ele cinqüenta homens dos filhos dos gileaditas; e o matou, e reinou em seu lugar.

25But Pekah the son of Remaliah, a captain of his, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the palace of the king's house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the Gileadites: and he killed him, and reigned in his room.

26Ora, o mais dos atos de Pecaías, e tudo quanto fez, eis que está escrito no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel.

26And the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they {are} written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

27No ano cinqüenta e dois de Azarias, rei de Judá, começou a reinar Peca, filho de Remalias, sobre Israel, em Samaria, e reinou vinte anos.

27In the two and fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, {and reigned} twenty years.

28E fez o que era mau aos olhos do Senhor; nunca se apartou dos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, com que fez pecar a Israel.

28And he did {that which was} evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

29Nos dias de Peca, rei de Israel, veio Tiglate-Pileser, rei da Assíria, e tomou a Ijom, a Abel-Bete-Maaca, a Janoa, e a Quedes, a Hazor, a Gileade, e a Galiléia, e a toda a terra de Naftali, e os levou à Assíria.

29In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abelbethmaachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and carried them captive to Assyria.

30E Oséias, filho de Elá, conspirou contra Peca, filho de Remalias, e o feriu, e o matou, e reinou em seu lugar, no vigésimo ano de Jotão, filho de Uzias.

30And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.

31Ora, o mais dos atos de Peca, e tudo quanto fez, eis que está escrito no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel.

31And the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they {are} written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

32No ano segundo de Peca, filho de Remalias, rei de Israel, começou a reinar Jotão, filho de Uzias, rei de Judá.

32In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel began Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah to reign.

33Tinha vinte e cinco anos de idade quando começou a reinar, e reinou dezesseis anos em Jerusalém; e era o nome de sua mãe Jerusa, filha de Zadoque.

33Five and twenty years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name {was} Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.

34E fez o que era reto aos olhos do Senhor; fez conforme tudo quanto fizera seu pai Uzias.

34And he did {that which was} right in the sight of the LORD: he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.

35Tão-somente os altos não foram tirados; porque o povo ainda sacrificava e queimava incenso nos altos. Este edificou a porta alta da casa do Senhor.

35Howbeit the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burned incense still in the high places. He built the higher gate of the house of the LORD.

36Ora, o mais dos atos de Jotão, e tudo quanto fez, porventura não está escrito no livro das crônicas dos reis de Judá?

36Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, {are} they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

37Naqueles dias começou o Senhor a enviar contra Judá a Rezim, rei da Síria, e a Peca, filho de Remalias.

37In those days the LORD began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.

38E Jotão dormiu com seus pais, e foi sepultado junto a seus pais, na cidade de Davi, seu pai; e Acaz, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.

38And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
